I attended the Zero Gravity Supercup on Saturday, March 29th, at the Dana Barros Basketball Club and watched some games in the Varsity American Division. There was lots of talent and in the gym. I'll be having about 10 standouts from the games on Saturday.

Toure was the best athlete in the gym and it wasn't particularly close. The 6-foot-6 junior is built like a linebacker but also has incredible speed, quickness and jumping ability. He had a couple takes in transition where he completely discarded the defensive players and rose up for big-time dunks. On pull-ups, he gets ridiculous elevation, which allows him to shoot over basically anyone. Toure already has high-major offers, and they won't be slowing down anytime soon. He's a special athlete with the tools to make it quite far in the game of basketball.

Riak is an extremely intriguing long-term prospect. The 6-foot-7 wing is super long and athletic; he's springy on fast-breaks and smooth when it comes to getting up and down the floor. Skillswise, he's a really solid shooter and can handle it well for his size and length. He's also a willing and able passer who has decent vision. Some added strength would do Riak wonders, and I think it could propel him into the mid to high major category of D1 players – he has some time to do so. Bright future ahead for a guy who has all of the physical tools you could ask for.

Gordon was probably the most solid point guard I saw in the Varsity division on Saturday – he's a joy to watch play the game. He's cerebral in the pick and roll and makes the right decision offensively again and again. His vision is off the charts, and he showcased it with a ridiculous full-court bounce pass to one of his bigs for an easy dunk. He can also step out and knock down the three ball and consistently competes with effort and intensity. Looking for a guy to confidently run your team? Gordon is your guy. Love watching him play the game.

Lyare is one of those lefties who you know is driving to his strong hand, but there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. He's strong as can be and uses his off hand well, and his touch around the rim is very solid. He consistently flew into defenders in the paint and then finished with body control and lots of contact – he's an and-one machine. Apparently Lyare didn't make the BC High varsity team this Winter (which is bizarre, because he would've been one of their best players), but he'll definitely find his way onto a college roster somewhere.

Kabori is a menace on the defensive end of the floor. The 6-foot-10 big man is ridiculously long and athletic and pairs those rare physical tools with some good timing and rim-protecting instincts. The senior forward made the paint a no-fly zone for opposing players all Saturday. Offensively, Kabori has a ways to go in terms of feeling comfortable in his body and adding lots of value from a skills perspective. However, he did show off a decent-looking outside shot, which could be a good sign for his future.
