Kaloga had a remarkable playoff run for Laurel as they secured a state title. He followed a steady 14 point outing in the semis with a stellar 27 point outburst in the championship. His fearless slashing led to him taking over the floor against a smaller Whitman squad. He was nearly unstoppable in the second half as he helped lead the closeout in the title game. Amadou drove to the rim after breaking down the defense with ease and made floaters and layups alike in each game. He knocked down a few triples through these two games that proved he can shoot consistently. One of the best personal postseason runs of any player in Maryland this year.

In this game Gio was aggressive scoring the ball from start to finish. He stayed in attack mode and looked to establish his presence early on. Sanford got it done from inside the paint both off the dribble and from rebounding or cutting. He proved to be a threat from outside as well this game, helping him post 17 points in a tight MPSC playoff battle.

Khalil had an outstanding performance in the MPSSAA Championship game although falling short. He was an asset in multiple facets of the game, making sound passes, strong drives to the rim, and nice defensive plays to gain extra possessions. Wilson sliced his way to the basket and scored some key baskets in keeping Sherwood in the game. Khalil's creation off the dribble was lethal when he was aggressive. Defensively, Wilson created havoc all game long racking up 4 steals and a ton of deflections. Very solid all-around performance from the senior guard.

Elliott shined in his outing against Clinton Grace. He was able to put up some impressive baskets in a couple of quick flurries. Quron used his handle well and got to any spot he wanted on the floor. Took some very efficient shots throughout the game and made the defense honor his aggression all night. I was impressed watching the way he flowed offensively on the floor. Even as the game started to change hands towards the opponent's way, Elliot still maintained his offensive threat.

Keon started early this game with his lethal scoring ability. He made shots from outside that forced the defense to respect his range. As the defensive pressure started to ramp up on Scott, he sliced through the lane and got to the rim. Keon did a good job this game of keeping his head up and finding his teammates, picking up 4 assists. He sensed the need for his consistent basket-making and immediately addressed it, pretty much flipping the switch defensively and offensively. Nabbed 4 steals and caused a ton of deflections. Keon stayed active all night defensively which helped him get out in transition and score at the basket quickly.

J'Lon had a very impressive and mature showing through the entire postseason portion of play. He stood out in these two games due to his control and poise in his decision-making. Lonnie picked his spots extremely well and attacked each time the defense presented an opening. The jumper looked smooth and Lonnie was able to create shots off the dribble at a high level. Although he is only a sophomore, the team was better when J'Lon had the ball in his hands to make a play. Had a big double-double game in the semis where he and the team took over the gym in the 2nd half of a statement win. This was a very promising from the youngest Lyons brother, who still has 2 more years to boost his quick-rising stock.
