17p 5a 5r 4s vs Baltimore City
Khalil had an outstanding performance in the MPSSAA Championship game although falling short. He was an asset in multiple facets of the game, making sound passes, strong drives to the rim, and nice defensive plays to gain extra possessions. Wilson sliced his way to the basket and scored some key baskets in keeping Sherwood in the game. Khalil’s creation off the dribble was lethal when he was aggressive. Defensively, Wilson created havoc all game long racking up 4 steals and a ton of deflections. Very solid all-around performance from the senior guard.

It doesn’t take long to recognize that Khalil Wilson Khalil Wilson 6'0" | SG Sherwood | 2025 State MD came in ready to play in the 1st half. Was instrumental in Sherwood having a 15-point lead in the first half. He’s a tough, crafty guard with a polished scoring arsenal shooting 6-9 from the field and going 2-5 from the 3pt line to finish the game with 17 points. The ability to create for himself and others was impactful. Wilson applied pressure from all levels and mixed it up at a strong rate, but is arguably at his best when attacking the midrange and hitting midrange pull-ups. He finishes well around the basket, knocks down shots from beyond the arc, and displays useful vision as a playmaker. Wilson is also a pesky on the ball defender with feel and instincts. Picking up 5 steals in the game as well.

The offensive engine during a commanding Sherwood first half, Wilson came out hot and aggressive with 10 of his team-high 14 points in the opening two quarters. He used his quick first step and compact strength to propel his way downhill both in the open floor and the halfcourt. Playing with constant passion on both ends, he was impactful pressuring the ball and found his way to several loose balls for scrap points. He added a momentum-swinging 3 in the second half for good measure. Wilson will take his talents to Stonehill for football, but looks to cap his hoops career with a state title after helping key the win tonight.
