Southport Regional: Kyler’s Standouts

Yesterday, Prep Hoops Indiana was on the road at multiple locations with myself, Kyler Staley, at Southport. There, I saw both Mt. Vernon beat Brownsburg and Lawrence North defeat Mooresville to advance. If you want to talk about a production and high motor big, that is exactly what Davis showed vs Brownsburg. Like seriously, he may be the best point guard in the state. Ertel did Ertel things vs Brownsburg being that steady force in the backcourt and playing on the attack. When it came to pure shotmakers from deep, Parra was on another level. Really like his off-the-ball awareness and ability to play any role that Mt. Vernon needs him to. He took a scary fall early on but when he came back in, there was nothing that Mooresville could do to stop him. He ran the floor extremely well, rebounded at a high level, made shots, and defender the paint. While a lot of the focus tends to go towards Robinson, Webster is capable of making so many big plays and that is what stood out to me in the LN's win over Mooresville. Coming off the bench can be hard for a senior player like Terry but when he does come in, he does his job extremely well. A big body would good mobility, Terry can guard multiple spots and do it with a high motor and IQ. He is an x-factor for Lawrence North. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
