PHI will wrap this showcase up by taking a closer look at the top 2030 and 2031's of the event. This analysis will go over my starting 5 if I had to put together an all star team and the top reserves who would come off the bench. If these guys keep improving their games at the rate they're currently at, they should have the ability to compete once in high school. Congratulations to the top guns of the showcase.

ALL SHOWCASE TEAM

5 Man
[player_tooltip player_id='2393299' first='Duain' last='Johnson'] (2030): This young man was able to do a lot of things well and I would argue the best of this class who was in attendance. A big who could get out and run in pace like a guard but played the post position fundamentally well. It was good to see his ability to screen on the ball in the offensive half court set to create mis matches and allow spacing for his guards with the ball. Good players make other players better and he was able to do exactly that with his team mates. Off the glass he kept composure and rebounded the ball strong as well. Good footwork and someone to definitely keep an eye on while continuing to work on his game.

4 Man
[player_tooltip player_id='2548028' first='Josiah' last='Hodges'] (2030): Played up to his length and natural abilities. A tough and determined worker that ran the floor even keeled. A true rim runner. Was able to take it to the cup and finish on bigger and older defenders. Defensively I liked his tenacity a lot to get up and guard hard on the ball. Played pretty athletic and used that to his advantage.

3 Man
[player_tooltip player_id='2789305' first='Nathaniel' last='Merriweather'] (2030): Another good sized 2030 that ran the floor well and kept pace in the flow of the game. His demeanor was good to witness. Seemed to be poised and in control even playing against maybe naturally more fast or athletic players. Rebounded the ball well and screened off the ball as well which is going to be highly effective going into high school. Overall just played with a good tenacity and toughness scrapping and competing.

2 Man
[player_tooltip player_id='2796394' first='Kent' last='Lucas'] (2030): Lucas had a motor on him today. I didn't catch him where he wasn't moving in some form or another whether it be on defense, on the ball, or away from the ball. Overall a really active guard/wing that had good footwork. Was able to use his quickness to pick off multiple passes when the offense was trying to speed it up. On the break he executed on finishes with his bigs and was able to share it effectively and efficiently. Off of misses, he was active and showed good hand foot coordination to read it off the rim. Team wise it was a pleasure watching him see the floor very well.

1 Man
[player_tooltip player_id='2807564' first='Logan' last='McCormick'] (2031): McCormick was one of only a handful of 2031's at this showcase but he deemed to be sufficient still throughout. Don't let the size fool you. There was a lot of fundamental things he did well that you can tell he enjoys playing the game. Defensively he was competitive calling out screens to teammates and took ownership in that. Communication is a key attribute at the next level. He seemed to have a solid IQ of the game and a good handle with the rock. Played with confidence from beyond the arc and knocked some 3's down through the day.

FIRST 4 IN

The following list of guys I would bring off the bench in my rotations in no particular order and only depending on the schemes of the opponent. They scrapped throughout the day and produced solid all around games.

4/5 Man
[player_tooltip player_id='2406873' first='Benjamin' last='Skrajny']

3/4 Man
Brock Helms

2/3 Man
[player_tooltip player_id='2715999' first='Reuben' last='Clinton']

1/2 Man
[player_tooltip player_id='2801238' first='Ben' last='Wood']
