Last Week’s Midwest Stampede Workout

There were 4 players in attendance, all of which were high quality players that will be making noise this summer during grassroots play. They never tell the full story. Downs is a true we over me type of player that will make whatever sacrifice is needed for his team. He played in that mold again last week. In 2-on-2 he never forced a look and was always a willing screener. Downs looks ready to go this spring and summer. College coaches, we'll talk very soon. This young man is just 6-7 and big, he showed up 6-7 and BUILT. Even after his injury I was very impressed with his overall athleticism. He really does have good feet. Bartley showed off an impressive mid range game last week, looking comfortable with his turnaround jumper. He was solid shooting out of the corners as well. Intangibles first. This young man will be a terrific locker room addition. He has a great positive attitude and is willing to work. Hall was very coachable at the event. He worked his jab step to use as a spacer as well as to get his defender on his heels. Hall worked it and you could see the improvement on spot. If this is a sign of things to come this spring and summer, he's about to have a breakout grassroots season. Miars had great body control and handled the ball with excellent efficiency. He had very few turnovers throughout the workout. Miars showed that he's a dangerous shooter. He has great balance on all of his shots, allowing him to hit from multiple spots both off the dribble and the catch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
