One of the more underrecruited bigs in the state, Vaughan was responsible for leading 15-seed Bandys on a deep run in the NCHSAA State Playoffs. He finished with 19 points, five rebounds and a block in their West Region Finals loss to Reidsville. On the season, he was a burden to bear in the painted area with 22.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game on 52 percent shooting from the floor and 36 percent shooting from deep. He's shown he can operate inside and out with his size at 6-foot-9 and remains a top target in the 828 area for DI/DII/DIII programs.

Brewer was a top riser in the 828 area out of East Henderson High as they went 27-1 on the season and unbeaten in 3A Mountain 7 Conference action at 12-0. He showcased his ability to make plays for himself and others while producing 28.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.5 steals per contest on 56 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent from behind the arc. He knocked down 63 3-pointers in his senior season. He remains a top unsigned senior target for DI/DII/DIII programs in the region to covet.

Railey is another stock-riser out of the 828 area who led Watauga on a deep run in the NCHSAA 4A State Playoffs. He put up 16.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game as they took down 2-seed West Forsyth in the third round before falling to eventual state champion North Mecklenburg in the Elite Eight. He's a strong-framed guard who can play above the rim and defend with purpose. He's a prospect for DII/DIII/JUCO programs in the region to get on their radar.

Peterson was an NCISAA 3A All-State selection as he moves into the 83rd spot as an 828 stock riser. He's a prospect who can protect the rim with purpose as well as finish with authority offensively out of Asheville Christian Academy. He can really stretch the floor with his range shooting the ball. He'll continue his career at the next level at Navy University in the Patriot League.

One of the more underrated rebounders in the 2025 rankings, Misher had himself a strong finish in the Maiden rotation in 2024-25. He led the Blue Devils in rebounding and scoring this season with 17.2 points, 12.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocks on the year as they went 22-6 and made it to the second round of the NCHSAA 2A State Playoffs. He played a lot bigger than his listed height of 6-foot-4 given his athleticism and length. He remains a top unsigned prospect for DIII/JUCO/NAIA programs to get on their radar.

Parkins is a sizeable prospect who closed things out strong with McDowell High in the 828 area. He utilizes his length well on the hardwood at 6-foot-7, with production of 20.9 points per game as the Titans earned a 4-seed in the NCHSAA 4A State Playoffs. His ability to operate around the rim and beyond on both ends of the floor is difficult to defend. He's got a bright future ahead of him at Roanoke College in the ODAC.

Clayton is quite the presence to be aware of in the 828 area out of AC Reynolds High. The 6-foot-7 big man produced 10.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while racking up seven double-doubles for the Rockets in 2024-25. He shot 52 percent from the field while showcasing an ability to operate inside the arc with good instincts. He's a prospect for DII/DIII/JUCO programs in the region to get their eyes on.

Lyerly saw his stock rise on the hardwood in the 828 area this season. He was a new face who fit in the Maiden frontcourt well given his penchant for protecting the painted area. He produced 14.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 blocks per game as a presence in the paint and beyond this season. Given his size and production, he's got potential to make a splash at the next level, if he doesn't choose the gridiron first, that is.
