He put up 16.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.6 steals per game as they took down 2-seed West Forsyth in the third round before falling to eventual state champion North Mecklenburg in the Elite Eight. Railey is a shifty guard prospect to know out of Watauga High in the 2025 class. He checks in at 126th in the latest update with an offer from the University of Lynchburg as he heads into his senior season. He was named Northwestern Conference Player of the Year after posting 14.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.1 assists per game in 2023-24. He’s due to make a lot more noise in 2024-25 in his final year of high school ball.

Railey’s been very good so far for NLPB and their high level 17U group this spring, showcasing himself as a downhill attacker with the ability to put a ton of pressure on the rim. He’s got great change of pace and burst that allows him to catch defenders unaware and quickly beat them, putting the defense at a disadvantage. Even can get up for a big time dunk when he’s got room to lift off. Good jump shooter as well that can either hit a pull-up or catch and shoot jumper. He plays hard, isn’t afraid to guard on the other end, and just like all the NLPB guys, makes the unselfish and winning plays that are expected of them.

Railey led Watauga to a 4A playoff spot and a top 10 seed, as well as leading the Pioneers in scoring, rebounding and steals per game. This season-long performance helped him jump 80 spots up to 172nd place in our new rankings. An electric athlete that can play above the rim or at it, he looks to finish with power every time no matter what. Also a dangerous guy in passing lanes and on the ball defensively. Will be an exciting NLPB prospect to track this summer.
