Divison 3 and 6 Regoinal Finals Standouts

Yesterday I went to the<a href="https://officials.myohsaa.org/Admin/Bracket/PublicBracket?TournamentId=4149"> Division 3 Region 10</a> Regional Finals as Sundusky beat Lima Shawnee 62-57. I was also at the <a href="https://officials.myohsaa.org/Admin/Bracket/PublicBracket?TournamentId=4165">Division 6 Region 22</a> Regionals Final game as Colonel Crawford beat Lima Central Catholic 44-37. This article will talk about the standouts from these games.    Holt is the best player for Crawford, and this is seen by how the opposing team treats him. He was doubled and face-guarded the entire game. Instead of trying to force he became a playmaker. Whenever he was able to get past his defender, he made the right read. He is a high-IQ player. He showed a three-level scorer and the ability to do it without much dribbling. He came off of screens with footwork and the ability to knock down shots. He has a ton of confidence and is so smooth. He has a lot of tools to score.     Henlon is the go-to guy for Sandusky and a massive reason the Blue Streaks are in the final four. He is a skilled and high-level playmaker. He lets the game come to him and manipulates it in a way that he is in full control. He was a very patient player who never forced anything. He consistently passes up good shots for great. He had big-time takes to the rim late which he either scored or assisted on.     I really like players like Aaron. He is a perfect defensive guard. He has the length, quickness, and motor that is suffocating for other guards. He can lockdown primary ball handlers. He is a high IQ defender as he is great at knowing what the offensive player trying to do. He was really good in the passing lanes. He is a good ball-handler for Sandusky and makes the right decisions. He can get in the lane and kick it out well. He knocked down a big three late.     I like the size and length of DeGray. He is a long player and was tasked with guarding Lima Central Catholic's best player and I imagine it is like this the whole season. He does not apply a ton of pressure, but he doesn't allow you to score on him 1 on 1. He is a lockdown defender that doesn't let you get to your spots. He is a good slasher and attacks the rim well.     Betke is an elite player. He has had an outstanding season and is taking the next step towards being elite. He is an elite shotmaker and can get his shot off in tight spaces well. His size and length for a wing are what you want. He is a true three-level scorer and doesn't settle for the three balls. He attacks the rim and finishes well. He has strong takes to the rim. His is a curl threat off of screens. He is a highly confident player.     Burton is relentless. He plays the game with his hair on fire. He applies constant pressure to the ball handler. He picks you up full court and makes you work to bring it up. He is a smart and physical defender. He is an active player on both ends. He knows his role on the offensive end and doesn't force. He gets to the rim and finishes it or makes the correct dump-off pass.     [player_tooltip player_id='2434352' first='Trevick' last='Bertke'] is an impressive sophomore with a high ceiling. The first thing that jumps out at you is the size and length of Trevick and then the second thing was he was guarding the other team's best player and point guard. He has a high IQ on defense and uses his length and athleticism to benefit him in this match-up. He is a mismatch issue for a lot of teams on the offensive end as well. He does most his damage from inside the arc but can step out and knockdown shots.     I like what White has for a sophomore. He has great length for a guard. He plays hard and has a good IQ for the game. He jumped multiple passing lanes and got the steal or tip. He plays in control and gets to the rim well. He slows down and lets the defense fly by him. This sophomore has a lot of potential and made an impact on both ends of the floor.
