The Giant Center played host to two powerhouse programs for the 6A chip. The Panthers from Central York got the dub 72-58, but not without several players from both teams showing out. Here are the guys of note:

[player_tooltip player_id='2436083' first='Doug' last='Layer Jr'] | 5'9 G 2027 Central York

The gritty point guard ignited the Panthers attack on both ends. Definitely, he stripped the ball away from CD's guards, stagnating the Rams' offense and feeding CY's. Layer Jr was a threat in the halfcourt too, on- and off-ball. He knocked down two catch-and-shoot threes and a couple pull-up twos. He also drove to set up others. 10 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals

[player_tooltip player_id='1287319' first='Ben' last='Natal'] | 6'2 G 2025 Central York

Natal's penchant for getting downhill anchored Central York's offense. All but three of his points came at the rim or from the free throw line (6-of-6) after attacking the rim. And even when he wasn't scoring, the unsigned senior tilting the defense off the bounce allowed him to create catch-and-shoot opportunities for his teammates. 17 points and 4 assists

[player_tooltip player_id='2796406' first='Byron' last='Pinkney'] | 6'4 W 2025 Central York

Not known for putting up big numbers, Pinkney made several splash plays and was a star in his role Friday night. In the opening quarter, he sprinted down the floor on defense after a turnover for a chase-down block. Then, in the third, he attacked a closeout and threw down a huge dunk. Finally, Pinkney hit a step-back three in the fourth quarter, his second three of the game. 10 points and 4 rebounds

[player_tooltip player_id='1271440' first='Ben' last='Rill'] | 6'8 F 2025 Central York

Still available, Rill was a true warrior in the championship game. After a slight ankle injury in the first half, he returned even stronger with 6 points in the third quarter and 10 in the fourth. His cuts and post-ups generated easy offense for the Panthers. His overall performance in the final quarter put the game out of reach and secured the title. 20 points (7-of-8 FT) and 6 rebounds

[player_tooltip player_id='1454311' first='Jelani' last='Easter'] | 6'5 W 2026 Central Dauphin

A two-way wing, Easter's applied athleticism shined versus Central York. In the second quarter, he went up top — on a baseline out of bounds play — for a sick alley oop. Defensively, he swatted multiple shots and altered even more. His slashing, rim running, and cutting were a constant threat throughout the game. 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks

[player_tooltip player_id='1466625' first='Wayne' last='Fletcher II'] | 6'3 G 2025 Central Dauphin

Headed to the Naval Academy, Fletcher II never surrendered to the Panthers. He didn't like his looks from three, so he drove to the cup relentlessly. His embrace of contact in paint was rewarded with visits to the charity stripe where he shot 11-for-12. The toughness he showed on drives was evident in how he pulled down boards over taller players inside. 23 points and 11 rebounds
