D3 All Final 4 And MVP

<p>The state playoffs have finished and there was some exciting action in the Division 3 Final 4. In the semifinals ATAP topped Ishpeming Westwiid 76-40 while Riverview Gabriel Richard defeated Pewamo-Westphalia 66-45. He averaged 19.5 points per game in the Final 4. Westerdale showed his well rounded game, adding 6 assists and 6 rebounds per game as well.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Lovejoy is going to be an influence statewide over the next few years. The dynamic freshman was the leading scorer in the Final 4, averaging 20 points in the 2 games.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Sobush was part of what was easily 1 of the best backcourts in the state. He's a dynamic point guard that controlled pace and made good decisions while scoring 16 points per game in the Final 4.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Kage came up huge in the state finals. He had a dominating 18 points and 11 rebounds. Kage was near perfect, going 7-8 from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Grandison made a statement with his play in the semifinals in particular. His athleticism and presence was a big reason ATAP looked so good in that game. Grandison averaged 12 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2 blocks per game.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2ND TEAM</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Marta started to find his groove in the 2nd half of the semifinals. He created looks at the rim and finished with a team high 13 points.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Eklund was impressive in the semifinals. His game was efficient and effective, leading to a team high 16 points in the semis.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Everingham had a good semifinal with 7 points and 5 boards. He went off in the finals with a 16 point and 11 rebound double-double. He has a legit claim to a 1st team title in this as well.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">White was critical in the title game. He finished with 18 points and went a scorching 7-8 from the line, hitting some big ones from the stripe.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Hicks caught my eye in the last 2 games. He averaged 8.5 ppg and 5 rpg. But his influence went way past the numbers. He was around the ball and had his nose in plays.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">MVP</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">We've talked a lot over the years about Westerdale's athletic shooting and his in the gym range on his jumper. That was all there to see at the Final 4. He led his team in total scoring over the final 2 games. But it was the passion and fire that he played the game with that might have had the most influence. Westerdale just wanted it that bad. And he went out and got it.</p>
