Lovejoy is a smaller point guard with shifty handles.  Shot it pretty well from mid-range along with stretching to three on occasion.  Shot release is on the side of head, but they seemed to go down at a decent clip.  Rebounds well for a guard and is a solid passer that got his teammates involved in their game against CP3 as he had 17 points (7-16 FG) (3-6 3PT), 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.

It’s hard for your stock to rise when you’re really close to the top as is, but Lovejoy did it. He seems to prove himself and his game night in and night out. He’s just so dynamic and it seems impossible for defenders to stay in front of him. To top it all off, he poured in 41 points in the finals, all while shooting 50% from the field.

Lovejoy did Lovejoy things in this game. His elite handling and speed constantly tested the defense. He finished the game with 24 points and added 3 assists. Lovejoy matched that with his defensive performance. He beat his man to spots and ended the game with 5 steals.

Let’s be real here – Lovejoy is easily one of the most talented players in Michigan. He’s the definition of an electric guard. Lovejoy can make plays off the bounce for himself and for his teammates. And even better yet, he can make those plays going any direction. If defenders play off of him, he can make then pay with his jumper. If they step up and try to steer him, Lovejoy will shake them out of their shoes.

Lovejoy is a shifty and slick guard that’s trusted with a lot of freedom in the offense. There just weren’t any guards that could stay in front of him throughout the course of a possession. Lovejoy just seemed to know that eventually he was finding or creating a lane or open space. When he did, he turned it into buckets.

Lovejoy is a special talent and he showed that sparking his team’s trip to the Breslin Center. Lovejoy is an electric offensive player that can finish under and around any opponent, regardless of size. Lovejoy is equally as dangerous as a defender when pressuring the ball and playing baseline to baseline.
