This past weekend the in Rock Hill the 2028 Palmetto State seemed to have a solid showing. Prep Hoops recently launched its first edition of the 2028 Palmetto State Class Rankings. Let's take a look at some of the players that we saw this weekend while in attendance. SUBSCRIBE today and use the passcode "Swanny30" at checkout to save 30% off your first billing cycle. #RecruitThePalmettoState

[program_tooltip program_id='2078724' first='Carolina' last='Pressure'] Win Opener:

The [program_tooltip program_id='2078724' first='Carolina' last='Pressure'] 2028 15U held off and won its opener vs the Private Snipaz here today. [player_tooltip player_id='2469364' first='Hunter' last='Collins'] came up big all day long with his play. Collins a freshman who played this past season at Lugoff-Elgin HS. Hunter was able to knockdown shots from both corners. He finished with 29 points while connecting on 5 three-pointers. Hunter is a deceptive athlete at times and was able to showcase good body control to the bucket and finish.

[player_tooltip player_id='2624989' first='Christopher' last='McClenic'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2817200' first='Reece' last='Jackson'] both provided good production for [program_tooltip program_id='2078724' first='Carolina' last='Pressure']. McClenic who attends Spring Valley HS was able to do his work around the bucket inside the paint area. Christopher is an athletic wing with already good size. He was able to stalk the baseline at times or look to drive to the bucket with a couple dribbles from the top of the key. McClenic finished the game with 13 points today in the [program_tooltip program_id='2078724' first='Carolina' last='Pressure'] win.

Jackson attends Richland Northeast HS. Reese does most of his work going to the basket in attack mode. He leaked out a few times and scored the ball in transition on some cheapies. This trio for the [program_tooltip program_id='2078724' first='Carolina' last='Pressure'] will look to lead the way this Grassroots season.

Team USC 2028 EYBL Has a Deep Roster:

Head Coach Xzavier Barmore can rely on playing 8-10 kids every game night. This Nike sponsored team has no shortage of talent. [player_tooltip player_id='2339844' first='Jeremiah' last='Hunter'] is quick with the ball in his hands and getting the ball to certain spots on the floor. Jeremiah can score the rock when needed. Hunter will knockdown open shots when given the opportunity. Jeremiah plays up in the northwestern corner of the state at Seneca HS.

[player_tooltip player_id='2554843' first='Aidan' last='Walls'] a downhill point guard plays over at Horse Creek Academy in Aiken. Aidan can set the table for his teammates with his crisp passing skills or simply get the ball to the bucket and score it. Aidan does a nice job of taking care of the rock and changing speeds in the open court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1916765' first='KJ' last='Dupree'] does a little bit of this and that for his squad. Dupree now at Dutch Fork HS is a tremendous athlete who can at the rim with either hand. KJ plays the game with a nice mid-range game. Dupree started the school last fall at Ben Lippen before leaving. KJ is also a Quarterback in the fall for the football team. He finished with 14 points in the win today.

[player_tooltip player_id='2412592' first='Ian' last='Gause'] has seemed to grow a bit since Prep Hoops saw him last. Gause a long and wiry forward will challenge shots on the defensive end of the floor. Ian is very agile enough to play out on the perimeter as a defender with his long wingspan.

Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2813875' first='Jamel' last='McKinley'] came up late in the season for the Cane Bay HS and played for the Cobras. McKinley is a long and extremely athletic forward who really looks to play with a chip on his shoulder it seems. He plays the game with a competitive edge and attitude. His best basketball is certainly in front of him moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2418910' first='Ricky' last='Hood III'] plays the game so mature with his physical frame. Ricky can dominate around the paint area or simply look to work the baseline and flush one down. He will overpower defenders to the basket with his athleticism. Ricky finished with 19 points today in the win over Blue Heat Rick (FL).

[player_tooltip player_id='2642300' first='Malik' last='Brunson'] just brings toughness every time out with his game. Malik really doesn't have a true position it seems but one you do is make sure he is on the floor. He provides production if it comes to rebounding, chasing down a loose ball, overpowering defenders, tip in at the rim. Malik is the ultimate hard hat guy with his blue-collar attitude and willingness to win. Brunson saw good minutes this past season for the Class 3A State Champions the Keenan HS Raiders.

Palmetto City Hurricanes 2028:

PCH will run on the NXTPRO Circuit (Puma) this spring and summer. The Palmetto City Hurricanes will look for some leadership from some of these players this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2541186' first='Gregory' last='Williams Jr'] a guard attends Eau Claire HS. Gregory played some good minutes at times this season for the Shamrocks. He was able to use ball-screens today and race to the basket. Gregory can pullup and knockdown some mid-range jumpers from time to time. Gregory does a nice job of sharing the ball and making his teammates happy at times.

[player_tooltip player_id='2818128' first='Samarion' last='Glenn'] was a nice surprise here this weekend with his play. Glenn who attends Brookland Cayce HS was able to create his own shot when he wasn't slashing to the cup to score the ball. Samarion played with a nice midrange pullup all day long. He was quite effective with his overall game all day long.

[player_tooltip player_id='2818245' first='Quinton' last='Taylor'] is a workhorse down around the bucket. Taylor who attends Lower Richland HS was able to finish with his left-hand on a regular basis despite being right-handed. Quinton constantly makes himself available around the ball with just great effort and determination at all times.

Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2469362' first='Raymond' last='McLaughlin'] plays at Lower Richland HS with Taylor. Raymond has good footwork around the paint while moving well from side to side on the block. He will look to challenge some shots around the bucket.

Prep Hoops continues its coverage from the Big Shots Southeast Tip-Off right here.
