6A State Tourney Game Report: Central Dauphin vs. Spring Ford

Barnes worked as a poised floor general in the face of intense half-court defensive pressure. He also pushed SF's transition game where he delivered impressive live dribble dimes. This quick guard with active hands was a plus defender too. Kelly scored an efficient 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds (unofficially) in SF's victory. When Central Dauphin doubled SF's [player_tooltip player_id='1460771' first='Jacob' last='Nguyen'], Kelly did a tremendous job of finding open space to receive a pass and then attacking his match-up. Additionally, the athletic and long Kelly popped a mid-range jumper or two. Fourteen of those points came in the 4^th quarter as Nguyen served as the closer for Spring Ford. Nguyen is regarded as one of the top long-range shooters in the region and on Saturday he backed up that rep with 3 made threes. Nguyen also created for himself and teammates off the dribble. His ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim is highly underrated. How this athletic senior guard with tight handles and a watery shooting stroke is still available is a mystery. Chase is a high IQ guard with a well-rounded skill set who impacted every facet of this contest. Easter is an exceptional athlete who excelled on the fast break. This instinctive wing prospect flashed an accurate jumper with deep range too. On defense, Easter's quickness, length, and hops enabled him to guard 2 through 5. Fletcher's well-rounded skill set was on full display against Spring Ford as he scored 14 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and handed out 5 assists. Fletcher's speed, agility and finishing skills enabled him to score in the open court repeatedly. In the half-court he produced points via dribble drives and by draining jumpers from all over the court.
