Each week during the high school season, Prep Hoops Wisconsin and Zaleski Sports will select boys' basketball teams of the week across the WIAA's five divisions. Here are this weeks honored squads:

DIVISION 1 ... HUDSON

Hudson ran its current winning to five on Saturday with a 58-42 non-conference victory over a solid Mahtomedi, Minn., squad. That triumph followed a Big Rivers Conference victory over Menomonie earlier in the week. Coach Brent Larson's guard-dominated squad is 11-6 overall and 7-2 in league play and has conference encounters with Chippewa Falls (Tuesday) and league-leading Eau Claire Memorial (Friday) this week. Junior Jace Mataczynski Jace Mataczynski 6'2" | SF Hudson | 2026 WI (6-2) and seniors Sam Swavely Sam Swavely 6'0" | CG Hudson | 2025 WI (6-0) and Tyler Lessard Tyler Lessard Tyler Lessard 6'4" | SF Hudson | 2025 State WI (6-3) have been key performers for the Raiders. Lessard tops the squad in scoring at 14.2 ppg followed closely by Mataczynski at 14.1 ppg and Swavely at 10.0 ppg. In the win over Menomonie, Hudson's big three paved the way with Mataczynski scoring 18 followed by Swavely with 13 and Lessard with 10. Seniors Aiden Jamieson (5-11) and Oscar Grothaus (6-0) also are strong contributors as they averaged 7.3 and 7.1 ppg, respectively. The Raiders are alone in second place in the Big Rivers, two games behind Eau Claire Memorial, and own impressive wins over West Salem, Rice Lake and Menomonie (twice), among others.

DIVISION 2 ... MONROE

The Cheesemakers won three games last week to run its season record to 10-6 under coach Brian Bassett. Monroe posted Rock Valley Conference wins over Evansville and Beloit Turner, and also recorded an impressive 71-52 victory over Southwest Wisconsin Activities League power Darlington. Junior forward Miles Versnik (6-4) led the way for Monroe in the win over Darlington by scoring 18 points. He got plenty of help from teammates Marcus Ott Marcus Ott 6'2" | SF Monroe | 2026 WI (13 points), JT Meyer JT Meyer 6'8" | PF Bay Port | 2027 State WI (12 points) and JJ Meyer (11 points). The Meyer brothers also were productive in the win over Beloit Turner as JJ had 16 point and JT added 13. JJ Meyer (6-10) and JT Meyer JT Meyer 6'8" | PF Bay Port | 2027 State WI (6-8) give the Cheesemakers tremendous size and a strong defensive presence near the basket. Junior point guard Mekhi Brown Mekhi Brown Mekhi Brown 5'11" | PG Monroe | 2026 State WI (5-11) is another key performer for Monroe as he leads the squad in scoring at 17.1 ppg. Monroe currently leads the Valley Division of the Rock Valley Conference with a 7-1 record.
