Mekhi Brown Mekhi Brown 5'11" | PG Monroe | 2026 State WI balanced out Logan Taylor Logan Taylor 6'4" | SG/PG Monroe | 2026 State WI ‘s second half performance with his efforts in the first half for Monroe. Brown had a quick nine points to get his team out to the races early against the Beavers in the last game of the day. Mekhi is lightning quick offensively, but is rarely out of control with the basketball. He is able to get low in his stance and use veer dribbles to limit his turnovers and set up his teammates in transition. I was most impressed with Brown’s ability to utilize his shifty crossover and quick first step to get downhill all the way to the rim and pull-up from behind the arc. Brown finished with 13 points on the night, and has a lot of desirable traits to his game. You could constantly hear Brown pick up his teammates after a mistake, and command Monroe’s dribble drive attack in the half court. Head Coach Brian Bassett has done a great job with his program once again this season, and has developed Brown into one of the premier lead guards in the Rock Valley conference.

A quick and nifty ball handler that plays a true pass first point guard role. Can slow you down or speed you up in a hurry when taking on pressure. Liked the way he created space when handling. Made multiple pitch ahead assists in the primary phase to keep defense on their heels. Will make post feed entries to bigs on the block or get in the lane and dish off. Remained a scoring threat throughout the 2^nd game of the night as well. Spot up 3 deemed efficient off the catch and converted on a take to the cup in traffic off the glass for a soft touch. Runs the offense effectively for a well-coached selfless squad.
