Over the course of Friday's action, we saw matchups that featured some of New Jersey's better programs as of recent history compete against nationally ranked programs as well as some matchups between some of the best programs in the state of New Jersey. As the game went along, Derkack was aggressive in his attack of the basket, getting downhill and finishing at the rim. Derkack also shined on the defensive end, using his athleticism in combination with his high motor to make highlight plays, being an effective off ball defender and playing the passing lanes. Knocking down a total of 4 catch and shoot threes throughout the course of the game, Rodriguez showed that not only can he hunt his shot and consistently be shot ready off the ball but that he's also capable of hitting big shots down the stretch. Hunter scored the basketball at multiple levels— knocking down open shots from three point range off the catch and off the dribble, finding his in between game hitting mid range pull ups and floaters, cutting to the basket, and getting on the offensive boards. Defensively, Green was effective using his length to not only guard multiple positions but also rebounded the basketball. Munro used his size and his physical strength to absorb contact in the paint and finish around the rim as well as be active on both the offensive and defensive glass. Munro's ability to play through contact also helped him get multiple trips to the free throw line.
