<p>On Friday, February 7th, the Metro Classic returned to Franklin High School in Somerset, NJ for a second day of action. Over the course of Friday's action, we saw matchups that featured some of New Jersey's better programs as of recent history compete against nationally ranked programs as well as some matchups between some of the best programs in the state of New Jersey. As part of the second part of this article that breaks down Friday's action, let's take a look at some guys that stood out over the course of the second day of games.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Finishing the game against Gill St. Bernard's with 12 points, [player_tooltip player_id='1389143' first='Griffin' last='Linstra'] got going by hitting an array of mid range pull ups. Linstra was also effective in orchestrating Manasquan's offense, doing a good job of handling the ball handling responsibilities and setting the table for Manasquan. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2202014' first='Rey' last='Weinseimer'] showcased a lot of what he can do on the perimeter. Weinseimer got going from three point range, showing his versatility as a shooter— being able to shoot it off the catch as well create for himself and shoot it off the bounce. Weinseimer finished the day with 13 points, including 3 made threes. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">In a national matchup against La Lumiere (IN), [player_tooltip player_id='1595674' first='Aiden' last='Derkack'] got going early on knocking down multiple shots from three point range. As the game went along, Derkack was aggressive in his attack of the basket, getting downhill and finishing at the rim. Derkack also shined on the defensive end, using his athleticism in combination with his high motor to make highlight plays, being an effective off ball defender and playing the passing lanes. Derkack finished the game with 33 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Super effective off the ball, Jace Rodriguez showcased his ability to be a lethal threat from three point range. Knocking down a total of 4 catch and shoot threes throughout the course of the game, Rodriguez showed that not only can he hunt his shot and consistently be shot ready off the ball but that he's also capable of hitting big shots down the stretch. Rodriguez finished the night with 12 points.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Behind an efficient 30 point performance, [player_tooltip player_id='1963393' first='Tyrease' last='Hunter'] showed what he's capable of doing as a source of offense for Roselle Catholic. Hunter scored the basketball at multiple levels— knocking down open shots from three point range off the catch and off the dribble, finding his in between game hitting mid range pull ups and floaters, cutting to the basket, and getting on the offensive boards. Hunter's 30 point performance was instrumental in Roselle Catholic's victory over Camden.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Trevon Lewis was another guard for Roselle Catholic that showed what he's capable of doing in terms of providing offense for Roselle Catholic. Lewis excelled in his ability to put pressure on the rim and finish dribble drives at the basket. Lewis finished the game against Camden with 12 points. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Providing a real source of offense for Camden, [player_tooltip player_id='2407095' first='Zion' last='Green'] showcased his ability to score the basketball at multiple levels while also being effective on the defensive side of the ball. Green was able to knock down multiple open looks from three, finish drives at the rim, and be active on the offensive glass. Defensively, Green was effective using his length to not only guard multiple positions but also rebounded the basketball. Green finished the game with 23 points and 10 rebounds. </p>

Knocking down multiple open looks from three point and being able to finish around the basket were primarily the ways Joe-Samuel showed how he can score the basketball. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Providing a strong interior presence for Camden, [player_tooltip player_id='1411402' first='David' last='Munro'] was extremely active inside. Munro used his size and his physical strength to absorb contact in the paint and finish around the rim as well as be active on both the offensive and defensive glass. Munro's ability to play through contact also helped him get multiple trips to the free throw line. Munro finished the game with 15 points and 9 rebounds. </p>
