I was able to catch Osseo vs Mound Westonka and Mankato East vs Orono on Saturday, here are the ten prospects that caught my eye!

#1 Mankato East vs #6 Orono

Brogan turned in a phenomenal well-rounded performance in the win over Orono. He was scoring at will, dropping a team-high 25 points. Early in the game, he was finding success shooting it from the perimeter, knocking down looks off the catch and when pulling up off the dribble. He came away with a few steals, leading to easy baskets on the other end and used his strength to battle through traffic at the rim. Madson is also an excellent passer and was hitting open teammates with perfect passes for assists.

Nolan has been able to will his team to many ranked wins so far this season, but just came up short on Saturday. The Mr. Basketball favorite scored a game-high 34 points, taking over during periods of the second half. He is an incredible slasher, using his elite strength and body control to fight through a lot of contact at a time. Defenders were forced to foul him on drives, as he sank 13 free throws. He also has great touch from the mid-range and connected on a three in the second half. Groves grabbed ten rebounds as well.

Lucas was great in Saturday's ranked win, scoring 20 points. He is a major threat to hurt you from beyond the arc, as he is a very confident shooter who will let it fly when he gets any open space. He was automatic off the catch and hit a buzzer beating shot to end the first half from just inside half court. Gustafson also showed he was more than capable of working inside for finishes.

Brady played one of the best games I have seen from him this season, scoring 21 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. He used his 6'9” frame to catch the ball inside, make one or two moves and score. He was finishing through contact and drawing fouls, resulting in 7 of his 21 points coming from the charity stripe. He also threw down a huge one-handed dunk to end the first half. Wooley was active on the offensive glass as well, being in the right spot at the right time for some putback baskets.

Amari is a perfect “3&D” guy for this Mankato East team that is now on a 15-game win streak. He provided consistent scoring throughout the game, being a go-to option on kickout passes from teammates. He knocked down four triples, all coming in the catch-and-shoot, totaling 12 points on the night. This included a clutch triple with under 2 minutes left in a tight game. Nobles also played great on-ball defense.

Osseo vs Mound Westonka

Mika caught fire in Saturday's win over Osseo, scoring 17 points, tripling his season average of around 5 points per game. He connected on five three-pointers, with four of them coming in the first half. He started off with a pull-up triple over a defender, displaying confidence early. He followed that up with a pair of threes off the catch in the corner and ended the half with a heat check from a few feet behind the three-point line. James was flying around on defense and showed that he could be a consistent ball handling option down the line as well.

Max continues to put up great numbers in his senior season, as he scored a game-high 22 points in the win over Osseo, with 18 coming in the second half. In the first half, his shots were not falling from the perimeter, but he used his strong 6'5” frame to get downhill and finish through contact. He remained confident and started to heat up, showing off his lightning quick release with four triples halftime. Kraay is averaging just under 20 points per game this year at Westonka.

After an impressive spring and summer with Minnesota Splash, Quincy has made the move from Hopkins to Osseo for his junior season and he has put up solid numbers for the Orioles this year. He started the game vs Westonka off pretty slow, but almost led his team to a comeback victory in the second half. He did most of his scoring damage from the perimeter, hitting on some tough contested looks to total 12 points. The 2026 prospect is averaging double-digit scoring numbers.

It was nice to see Owen in an expanded role on Saturday, as he was mostly a depth piece over the summer with D1MN's 3SSB squad. He ran the point when he was on the floor and showed some nice vision, picking up several impressive assists. He also connected on three triples, taking advantage of the defense being in a zone. Counce also converted on a super pretty double-clutch finish around a defender.

Nebil was a pleasant surprise on Saturday, as I was not very familiar with his game. He scored a team-high 18 points for Osseo in the tight loss. He has a quick trigger on shots from the perimeter, showing off his ability to stretch the floor. He battled inside, using his strength to catch a pass and go up through contact, as well as crashing the offensive boards for second chance opportunities. The 6'4” senior forward doubled his scoring average and almost helped his team to a comeback win with a big second half.
