Arguably one of the most exciting guards in the East has had a solid Junior season overall in terms of production. With his team's only two blemishes in 2a coming to arguably favorite Farmville Centrall they have the look of a team capable of making a run. Leading the team in scoring (20 points) and assists (6.3) so far though they'll need a big post-season to make the run possible.

Always known for his high IQ and guard skills Dance has taken the next step in the scoring column. Boosting his scoring mark up by an unheard of 10 points from his sophomore to Junior season the 6 foot guard has Currituck looking like a tough out in the 2A East and a team that you can't allow to get hot this postseason.

Not many players in the state, let alone juniors, are having the type of all around season that Shimere is having. After a tough beginning of the season, he has helped get his team up to 3rd place in the conference with a chance to potentially play their way to a top 15 seed in the state playoffs. With averages of 22 points 11 rebounds, 3 assists 2 steals, and a block per contest he is one to watch this postseason.

A valuable piece on two separate Northwood HS squads it's finally his turn to be “The Guy” for the Chargers. Bumping his scoring up around 10 points and increasing in every other statistical category by at least 1 Fowler has looked the part of a leader and the type of player that can push his squad to a deep playoff run.

Every year since they joined the NCHSAA Wilson Prep has had a contributor from the previous year's squad take a massive jump forward. This year it's the 6'1 combo guard Dickens, a pesk on the defensive end he has a nice knack for getting to the rim while filling up the stat sheet. If Prep makes a run to the title expect Dickens to be a major part of the equation.

One of the most consistent players in the 252 area code this season has been the lanky forward from Washington High School. Averaging just under 17 points, 9 rebounds, and two blocks he's a threat to throwdown an impressive dunk or can even step out a knock down the occasional three pointer.
