Tri-State Area Unsigned 2025s Guards to Prioritize

These are a few unsigned guards in New York, New Jersey, & Connecticut college coaches need to be recruiting.    Anthony is a vintage New York City guard who thrives as steering his team's ship. He always thinks two steps ahead of defenders. He also can flash from behind the arc. Anytime Vere has the ball in his hands he is bound to make a highlight play. Anthony is an elite paint toucher who has great touch around the bucket. He applies great ball pressure and can come up with steals. Anthony is a no brainer for the low major level for programs who are in need a steady guard who has a winning DNA.     Keenan is a steady guard with a quick first step when he is on the attack. He uses his small stature to get around defenders effortlessly. He has a good touch around the hoop and keeps it simple. He is really effective filling the lane in transition. Keenan has a great vision of the floor and finds his teammates frequently. On the defensive end Keenan is pesky and finds ways to come up with steals. He has a really balanced game.     Romano is an off-ball guard who can make his presence felt as a deep ball threat. He has good size for a two guard. He has smooth finishes when on the attack. His ability to make foul shots is good for end of game settings when you need a safe pair of hands on the floor. Romano shows flashes as a facilitator with his court vision. Romano does a good job coming up with steals.     Sutton is a big methodical guard who thrives navigating to the rack on the attack. He has long branchlike arms that allow him to shoot over smaller guards. Sutton does a really good job of using his angles when he is going downhill. His basketball IQ is at a high level. He is very acrobatic when on the attack and does a good job hiding the ball from shot-blockers. One the defensive end Sutton does a good job finding steals, rebounds, and blocks. He keeps getting better with time. Sutton would be a great candidate for a postgraduate year!     Griffin is a prolific scorer who has a knack to get a bucket in a matter of a blink of an eye. He has an array of tough finishes that he can pull out whenever he wants. Griffin has a blend of dribble moves and plays at a controlled pace. He can also find a way to come up with steals. Griffin has the ability to play the two-man game in the half-court. He is a sneaky athlete.     Maxey is an elite driver who wills his way to the bucket with his quick first step. He has great footwork and tip toes to different spots. His soft touch is seen regularly in his game. Maxey is more of an in-between guard than a true point guard. He has a good blend of size and strength for the guard spot.
