This is my second write up for Noah. I have to say, he didn't disappoint! He's really improved his overall skills since I first saw him play during AAU season. Noah has become a monster on the boards in the middle school setting. He was a good rebounding big man during the summer, now he attacks the glass with reckless abandon. What I saw Monday, was a young man willing to do whatever it took to help his Lapel squad win. Noah is very strong and agile for his size. He took full advantage of these traits by scoring in the paint, grabbing offensive rebounds and hustling all over the court. Noah is a great passer who hit multiple players cutting to the basket with pin-point dimes. On a few occasions, he was able to attack defenders in isolated situations. As I said, this guy is very agile and quick. Noah excelled at drawing fouls on opposing post players. He scored through contact numerous times and converted three point play opportunities from the free-throw line. Defensively, He was great at denying opposing players from attacking the paint. Scoring didn't come easy with Noah patrolling the paint. He even had a block shot and took charge! As long as Noah continues to work on his skills, he'll make an easy transition into high school basketball. He finished the game with (10 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block.) Keep grinding Noah!!

Kole is the type of player who does all the dirty work for the Lapel squad. He's a great "hustle guy" who crashes boards, sets screens, scores on put-backs and plays defense. On multiple occasions Kole was able to grab offensive rebounds and score inside the paint despite being closely defended. He runs the floor and scores in transition when the opportunity arises. Kole had no issues being physical in the paint. Whenever he needed to grab a rebound, he fought tooth and nail to obtain it. On defense, he was able to force turnovers by stripping the ball from his opponent in the paint. Kole made scoring difficult by challenging every shot the Anderson guards drove to the basket. If Kole improves on the offensive side of the ball, transitioning into high school basketball will be easy. Keep working Kole!!

This guy continues to be a dead-eyed shooter! Davis is already an elite jump-shooter as a middle school player. He has excellent form and shooting touch with his shot, especially when left alone. Davis is the kind of player who can't miss once he catches fire. He showed off his shooting skills in Monday night's game against Anderson. He knocked down five threes in the first half, while finishing the game with seven. As I said, Davis was in the zone. So much so, the Anderson team had no answers for his onslaught from beyond the arc. He's an excellent rebounder and passer who often made game changing plays for the Lapel squad. In the closing moments of the game he grab a critical rebound that prevented the Anderson team's comeback attempt. Davis continues to be more than a three point shooter. He scored in the post and knocked down short range shots on the perimeter. When opportunities to score in transition occurred, Davis attacked the basket and finished with lay-ups. This young man is a dynamic scorer who has a game that translates to any level of play. Going into high school will be a flawless transition for Davis. He's a shooter! Every team has a place for someone with his shooting talents. He finished the game with (30 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal) Keep shooting Davis!!

Kamaries really excels at getting to the basket and making plays for his teammates. He's an excellent ball handler who gets to wherever he wants on the floor. In isolated situations, Kamaries was un-guard-able! No matter what defenses the Lapel coach threw at him, Kamaries was able to breakdown opposing players and score at will. He used a variety of hesitation and in-and-out dribble moves to drive past defenders. Once he went around his opponent, he either scored of found teammates with flashy assists. Most of his damage occurred when he attacked the basket, the rest came from long distance shots. Kamaries is an elite scorer who gives it to his opposition in a variety of ways. Whether its twos, threes or free-throws, he's a tough cover for anyone. In some situations, he became a one man fast-break. Kamaries played great on-ball defense and forced numerous turnovers of the Lapel guards. His ball pressure and quick hands generated six steals which lead all players. A number of those steals resulted in him scoring easy lay-ups in transition. This is my second write up of Kamaries and I must say " This young man is the truth!" I see nothing but success in the very near future for Kamaries, high school and beyond. He finished the game with (39 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists 6 steals, 2 blocks) Keep balling Kamaries!!

Drayden has the game of a really good small forward. He can take smaller players in the post and effectively score over the top of them. Drayden used a variety of moves to get to the basket and make plays either by scoring or passing to teammates. He definitely impressed me with his ability to make shots. Drayden was very comfortable in the Anderson offense. Scoring came easy for him, whether it was knocking downs shots from long or mid-range. He's a good rebounder who excelled at grabbing boards on the offensive glass. Most of these boards lead to numerous put-backs for easy scores. He's a good offensive player who efficiently scores from all over the court. Defensively, he uses his length and quick hands to be effective against the opposition. Drayden was really good at playing the passing lanes and poking at the ball to force turnovers. He's a very athletic player who was able to block a few shots. Some of the blocks lead to fast-break scores in transition. Drayden is a talented player who could definitely be successful at the high school level. He has size, length, scoring ability and defense. These traits can take a player a long way. Keep it up Drayden!!

I loved watching this young man play Monday evening. Nolan came off the bench and instantly gave his team a spark. The Anderson team was down double-digits to Lapel. Nolan came in, made a shot, got pumped up and the team seemed to get energized. This would be the beginning of the Anderson comeback. Unfortunately, his team fell short in the end. Nolan played with grit and determination on the court. He's an excellent rebounder who made an immediate impact by grabbing every board he got his hands on. Most of the points he scored were on hustle plays such as put-backs around the basket. Occasionally he made mid-range shots out on the wing. Nolan was great at running the floor and finishing in fast break situations. In my opinion, his biggest strength was the sheer hustle to be a part of every play on the court. On defense, Nolan did a little of everything. He forced turnovers, blocked shots, took charges and chased down loose balls. I truly appreciated a player who doesn't put a priority on scoring. Nolan is definitely a player who excels at doing all the intangibles needed to help his team win games. Keep working Nolan!!
