The Chet Mason Invitational featured six games with a majority of the teams coming from the east side of Cleveland. In this article we'll break down the standout performers I saw on Sunday at the event which was hosted at Brush High School.

Saint Edward made a double-digit comeback and got an impressive victory over Warrensville Heights in what was the most competitive game of the day. Vlosich shot the ball at an extremely high level from 3-point range with numerous corner 3-pointers after running off screens. In addition to the perimeter shooting ability, Vlosich had a tough and-1 layup with his left hand where he kept his defender attached to his hip. One of the elite shooters in northeast Ohio's 2026 class, Vlosich is a name who I expect to be known by scholarship programs starting this spring.

I'm impressed by the depth of Warrensville Heights with a lot of athletes for a Division IV team. Chappell is their most productive player in the paint as he had multiple reverse layups and also protected the rim as a help-side defender. With his size, Chappell also had a few offensive rebounds and skied for an alley-oop slam dunk late in the game. If Warrensville Heights can get out in transition or make shots, they are extremely though to beat with their defense and athletes across the board. Despite the tough loss, this is still one of the top Division IV teams in Ohio.

One of the more talented 2028 point guards in northeast Ohio, Williams had a big game off the bench for the Bulldogs. A poised guard for his age, Williams made a couple plays off the dribble to either score for himself or set a teammate up. Williams also displays soft touch on layups and floaters at the rim. Expect to hear a lot more about Williams over the next few years as he continues to grow and mature as a player, lots of upside!

The host Arcs were led by a great performance by their star senior Dammons who electrified an energetic home crowd. Dammons had a couple dunks and also attacked the rim efficiently with a few layups and runners past rim contests. Throw in a handful of time and space 3-pointers and Dammons was a level above the competition on Sunday and has strong scholarship interest.

I always find it fascinating to watch power conference football recruits on the hardwood and Stubbs is a dominant force on the interior for the Tigers. With soft hands and the ability to pass out of the post, Stubbs makes it hard to double-team him and is going to overpower an individual defender in the paint. This Cleveland Heights team has the experience to make some noise late in the year with Stubbs as a key player to watch.
