There was a ton of talent in the arena on Saturday at the ServPro Crossover Challenge. Below we take a look at five more outstanding performers from an event filled with standouts.

2026 PF [player_tooltip player_id='1765553' first='William' last='Gerdes'] (Cedar Falls)

In front of Iowa assistant Matt Gatens, Gerdes put together an impressive two-way showing against two-time defending champion Valley, scoring 18 points on 7-12 shooting (1-3 3P, 3-5 FT) with 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and a block. A long, athletic 6-8/6-9 forward who can score inside and out, he does a good job establishing his post position, and he's constantly moving. His frame has really started to fill out and he seems to be becoming more confident with each passing game.

2025 SF [player_tooltip player_id='1951786' first='Ben' last='Kerkhoff'] (Bettendorf)

Kerkhoff was really good on both ends of the floor for the Bulldogs in their win over Liberty, finishing with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and a steal. A lengthy wing who uses his length to his advantage on the defensive end by getting into passing lanes and contesting shots, his size is also a major asset as a rebounder and passer. He shoots it well from beyond the 3-point line, especially off the catch, and he looks to have improved as a playmaker off the dribble.

2026 PF Tevin Schultz (Senior)

The Rams were overmatched against Waukee Northwest, but Schultz was really good, scoring 24 points and showcasing the ability to do so from all three levels. A strong big man with soft hands and deft touch around the rim, he has good footwork and a few go-to moves on post touches. He can step out and stretch the floor with a smooth stroke from the 3-point line as well.

2025 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1381424' first='Abe' last='Vos'] (Ames)

Vos was arguably the most pleasant surprise of the day, scoring 22 points on 9-15 shooting, tripling his season scoring average of 6.3 points per game. He played with a ton of confidence in the Little Cyclones' blowout win over Prairie, dominating the game from the jump and showing his ability to score from all three levels as well as create quality looks for his teammates off the dribble.

2025 PF [player_tooltip player_id='1381412' first='Davis' last='Kern'] (Linn-Mar)

There was certainly some frustration throughout Linn-Mar's game against Ankeny with a lack of touches for the talented senior big man, but when he did touch the ball, he was excellent, finishing with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks. His footwork and touch around the rim, as well as the ability to finish through contact, make him extremely difficult to slow down, and he also has the ability to step out and stretch the floor, which only makes his post touches more dangerous. He showed impressive court vision and passing out of double teams.
