Bolingbrook 64 Benet 53

The Redwings got out to a slow start but found their footing with an effort from 2025 guard [player_tooltip player_id='1598658' first='Blake' last='Fagbemi']. His perimeter shooting and quickness in the open court helped Benet take a slight lead at halftime. Bolingbrook star guard [player_tooltip player_id='2323624' first='Davion' last='Thompson'] didn't have the best start to the game. He was targeted on defense and only scored 3 at half. In the second half things would be different. Davion hit some big momentum shots in the third and fourth quarter to give Bolingbrook the lead. His senior teammates [player_tooltip player_id='1385301' first='JT' last='Pettigrew'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2321421' first='Kendall' last='Cutler'] also contributed. JT with his inside presence and strong rebounding awareness. Cutler made some timely shots from three during the run. But ultimately Thompson would go on to score 19 points in the second half while also limiting Fagbemi to just 2 points. Bolingbrook with another big win over a top-10 opponent.

Simeon 51 Fenwick 48 2 OT

Fenwick started this game with lots of energy and pressure. They would jump to a double-digit lead up until the third quarter. Class of 2025 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2105305' first='Dominick' last='Ducree'] was big for the Friars hitting shots from all three levels of the court. Simeon would slowly chip away at the lead with big shots from [player_tooltip player_id='1385305' first='Lorenzo' last='Shields'], [player_tooltip player_id='1552394' first='Andre' last='Tyler'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1439013' first='Julien' last='Doyle']. They were able to tie the game in the fourth with strong play from [player_tooltip player_id='1552394' first='Andre' last='Tyler']. This momentum carried them into the first OT as Ducree made more shots from the perimeter and mid-range. For Simeon it was Doyle who hit a turnaround baseline jump shot to send the game into a double overtime. In the second OT Shields made two huge threes that gave the [program_tooltip program_id='2076046' first='Wolverines' last=''] a slight edge over Fenwick in the final moments.

The Trevians were in control for most of the game behind the shooting of [player_tooltip player_id='1554516' first='Christopher' last='Kirkpatrick'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1552486' first='Danny' last='Houlihan']. These two went on a tear from behind the arc for most of the game until the Broncos made some shots themselves in the second half with major contributions from senior [player_tooltip player_id='1385290' first='Amari' last='Edwards'] and super sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2125612' first='Devin' last='Cleveland']. The two teams went back and forth until the final minutes. With Kenwood down two points senior [player_tooltip player_id='1385283' first='Aleks' last='Alston'] was doubled and hit a wide-open senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1582994' first='Chris' last='Watkins'] who drained a corner three to give the Broncos the lead and ultimately the win.
