Cotton had battled injuries during his Junior season and it was great to see him back healthy and on the court moving and looking like himself. Knocking down numerous shots off the catch thanks to drive and kicks from his teammates, Cotton was shot-ready off the catch. Add in a couple cuts and finishes plus some throw ahead passes off steals and rebounds and Cotton was highly impactful on Monday in Lima Senior's statement victory over Pace Academy from Atlanta.

Leach was sensational as Toledo Whitmer had Combine Academy (NC) on the ropes for a majority of the contest. Leach knocked down a couple 3-pointers and also attacked the rim with a ton of aggression. His high motor led to some wild shots but also got Leach extra shots at the rim and was unpredictable to stop for the Combine Academy defense. With [player_tooltip player_id='1432018' first='Antione' last='West Jr'] sitting with foul trouble in parts of the second half, Leach was forced to become a primary creator and did what he could against a team stacked with Division I recruits. Another productive performance for Leach who is one of the top guards in Toledo's 2025 class.

Few players attack the rim as well as Williams does, going hard with his left hand at the rim. Playing off two feet is a key for Williams as he can get to the paint and then has the touch to finish through traffic. I was also impressed with how Williams used pivots and pump fakes to get himself open. In transition, Williams has the speed to turn on the jets and blow past the defense. The current leading scorer in the GWOC, Williams is one of the top seniors in the Dayton area.

In a gritty overtime victory, the experience of Pickerington North's trio of McFadden, Jr Bates and [player_tooltip player_id='1432005' first='Arness' last='Lawson'] came up huge for the Panthers. McFadden started the game with a corner 3-pointer but eventually got going in the paint with a couple baseline cuts that turned into open layups and dunks. Add in his hustle to get offensive rebounds in key situations and McFadden impacted winning at a high level.

Lakota West went to work early and often in the paint and physically overwhelmed the host Firebirds. Green has strong hands and a size advantage in the paint and he was not afraid to use it. With the Lakota West guards able to beat their primary defender off the dribble, Green was the primary beneficiary of easy looks in the paint and converted them at an efficient clip. A name for small college programs around the region to know.
