Coverage of the CIAC continues today with a look at some of the state's top wings.

This is a talented group that knows how to get it done on both ends of the floor and features one of the country's top players in the Class of 2026.

Take a look at 10 prospects to watch on the wing this winter in Connecticut.

[player_tooltip player_id='2553801' first='Josiah' last='Sims']

A beast on the boards, Sims should be a nightly double-double threat this winter at Newington. Already the all-time leading rebounder at Newington, he plays with a high motor and versatility on the defensive end of the floor, providing a presence as both a shot blocker and lock-down wing defender. On the other end, he's a power finisher around the rim that can finish through contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='2341304' first='Abdou' last='Toure']

Toure, arguably one of the top scoring guards in the entire country, will look to lead Notre Dame-West Haven on a deep play-off run this winter. A big, athletic guard, he has the ability to score at all three levels, makes plays with the ball in his hands, and has a good feel as a decision maker. He's terrific in transition when he attacks the rim and can defend all five positions in the CIAC.

[player_tooltip player_id='2812001' first='Zane' last='Brewer']

Already a 1,000 point scorer, Brewer is one of the state's top perimeter scorers and a leader at Wheeler. A capable, three level scorer, he has the ability to get it done off the bounce or off the catch, by the rim or in the mid-range, and from behind the arc. He has good positional size, plays with a high basketball IQ, and can create his own shot late in the clock.

[player_tooltip player_id='2396740' first='Avery' last='Sutton']

Sutton, a playmaking wing out of Hillhouse, is a dynamic offensive threat that can get his or get his teammates involved on any given night. Capable of handling the ball as an initiator, he also has the ability to step off the ball and fill a 3-and-D role when needed. He can lock down any perimeter spot defensively and does a great job of pushing the pace in transition off of defensive rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2553791' first='Kingston' last='Pitt']

A big wing that isn't afraid to damage inside of the paint, Pitt has the opportunity to help New Fairfield win a lot of games this winter. He's comfortable making plays off the bounce and has the inside-outside game needed to punish defensive switches. He'll take bigger defenders off the bounce on the perimeter and take smaller guards into the post where he can score over either shoulder.

[player_tooltip player_id='2452540' first='Julius' last='Washington']

Washington, a long and athletic wing at New London, does a great job utilizing his physical gifts as a scorer off the bounce. He thrives on the defensive end of the floor as a switchable defender that can keep the ball in front of him on the perimeter and wall up again forwards in the paint. Offensively, he does a great job of getting downhill and finishing at the rim with either hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='1532465' first='Connor' last='Crist']

A crafty wing scorer out of Southington, Crist has the ability to get in done from behind the arc and in the mid-range. He's capable of getting into the paint off the bounce and does a nice job of finishing over size with a variety of floaters. Defensively, he's a capable perimeter defender that uses his length to his advantage on the glass and in passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2547108' first='Owen' last='Hotaling']

Hotaling, a shotmaker at multiple levels, has a chance to really make a name for himself at Sheehan this winter. He's a talented wing scorer that can make jumpers in bunches from behind the arc. He plays with consistent effort on both ends of the floor, can switch defensively in ball screens, and has started to leverage his shooting to open up driving lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2696731' first='Maurice' last='Whalen']

New to St. Bernard's, Whalen has a chance to help put them over the top and back into the state championship with his punch as a perimeter scorer. He does a nice job as a slasher, getting downhill and finishing at the rim, and is an instinctive cutter off the ball. He really excels as a perimeter scorer, showing the ability to make standstill catch and shoot threes.

Ryan Moore

Moore, a tough two-way wing that knows how to score at multiple levels, will look to lead Fairfield Warde on a deep play-off run this winter. He's confident with the ball in his hands and does a great job of utilizing his pivot to stay active as a paint scorer. He's tough, doesn't back down from a challenge, and has gotten better as a creator off the dribble.
