Brush is off to a fast 3-0 start to their season with Dammons already winning MVP honors at the Great Lakes Classic. A wing forward with the ability to rebound, play above the rim and get out in transition, Dammons can do a variety of things to impact the game. A player who has delt with injuries throughout his career, this senior season could be a chance for Dammons to establish himself as one of the best players in northeast Ohio. Brush's program has done an excellent job of developing their players to be scholarship level prospects and Dammons appears to be next in line.

I recently got to see Kayden's older brother Kaleb for Walsh last week and he played a tough utility role for the Cavs by competing defensively, rebounding and being efficient as a scorer. I see no reason why Kayden can't have a similar career for Walsh as Kayden is a better athlete due to his lateral quickness and vertical explosiveness. Both Schaffer's are teammates that players want to play with and aren't afraid to do the dirty work. It'll be interesting to see Schaffer in a primary scoring role as a senior with Bishop Ready, he'll slide in nicely to a utility wing role at the college level.

One of the elite wing shooters in central Ohio, Sever just checks boxes that small college programs are looking for. Sever has good positional size for a wing guard, shoots it confident off the catch, plays tough defense and comes from a Hilliard Bradley program that prepares players for the college level. With a strong season opening performance Vs Cincinnati Wyoming, look for Sever to try and lead a younger group for the Jags as they transition to the next era of Hilliard Bradley basketball this season.

One of the most athletic players in the Columbus city league, Knostman has been putting up big time numbers for a few years now. Also a soccer standout, Knostman won MVP honors during the city league championship. Knostman has had a fast start to his senior season, scoring 20 points against Olentangy Orange and 22 against Columbus DeSales. The lefty can play above the rim and finish with either hand on layups. A forward who is always in attack mode, Knostman likes to put his shoulder down and get to the paint. With his high academic scores he could get himself some nice scholarship packages from small college programs giving him academic and/or athletic support.

Butterfield has expanded his game a little bit since I first started watching him at the 16 U level. Another high academic player, Butterfield is an elite shooter from the outside and is showing some more off the dribble confidence as well. It's nice that Butterfield has done a little more of attacking closeouts without playing out of control. Olentangy Liberty should be one of the top teams in central Ohio this winter due to their size and shooting, two areas where Butterfield impacts the game.
