-UConn commit overcame some early foul trouble to leave his mark on a hotly-contested game against Ament. Reibe finished 6/7 in the 2H to make it a 1-possession game late, showing the full range of offensive skills that make him such an intriguing prospect. Reibe sank two 3s, spun off his matchup for a 2-handed dunk off the drop step, hit a nice face-up touch shot from the short corner, hit a big putback late, and was the most active I've seen him on the glass. Defensively he worked hard to stay in front but will need to take better angles as a helper off of screens to stay in the play to contest a jumpshot or defend a basket around the rim without fouling.

-Franklin had a really impactful performance cut short by a tight whistle that fouled him out late in the 4Q of an eventual OT loss. Franklin was everywhere defensively and on the glass, closing out possessions and getting his team good looks in transition as either a playmaker or play-finisher. His stride steps and step-through finishes have really improved to capitalize on his opportunities in the paint. Like how his game has progressed to finding teammates slipping to the basket or spotted up on the perimeter as an on-ball creator, taking advantage of his scoring gravity to create easy looks for a supporting cast that lacks some self-creation. Want to see him be more assertive on the offensive end down the stretch of games because he usually makes the right play with the ball in his hands.

-Haskins finished 4/6 from beyond the arc and was really big down the stretch in a valiant performance from Tech Prep against one of the area's deepest teams. The lefty Hampton commit moved well off the ball to create space for C+S looks but also used jab steps/screens/ side steps to get off clean looks at the rim that dropped through the center of the net. His attention to detail defensively is much-improved as is his conditioning. Liked how well he was scanning the floor as a secondary playmaker from the wing that found his teammates on back cuts and for open perimeter jumpers in the secondary break in a very up and down game.

-The dynamic engine that makes this MZN team go, Williams has played a big role in his team's 3-0 performance at the Utah Hoop Fest and now in a win over Carroll. The explosive PG does his best work in transition-- getting to the rim to finish past the defender, throwing some ballsy 1-handed chest passes that thread through the defense to a teammate, and getting to the FT line with euro's or pump fakes. Williams' perimeter jumper continues to fall at a respectable clip, shooting 40% from 3 while also leading his team's defense as a scrappy POA defender.

-Continue coming away impressed by Flamer's improved activity and feel as both a defender and rebounder in the halfcourt. His endurance and vertical leaping have improved to allow him to grab some big rebounds in traffic and finish above the rim but he is doing a great job of challenging shots in the paint without fouling. If the perimeter shooting flashes continue to become more consistent, he can earn himself more opportunities and raise MZP's ceiling as a very deep group.

-Played sparingly down the stretch of the game but he brought a gritty, physical presence to the game off the bench for the Lions. 6'6, strong, pretty good leaper-- he came in off the bench after Carroll allowed several offensive rebounds and shored up the glass to help them get one last late push against MZN. Pretty raw offensively, can't get by quicker guards but immediately finds a good passing option after snagging offensive rebounds in traffic.
