Harvest Prep was in a dogfight for a while as they couldn't keep a scrappy Conner team away. Then in the fourth quarter, Daniels had an and-1 layup, another bucket at the rim, a top of the key 3, a layup after his teammates broke the press and a baseline drive layup to put the game away. All game, Daniels did a nice job using his strength at the rim and was productive as a scorer in the paint. We'll see if Harvest Prep can find their stride with another neutral site tournament battle on Sunday against Wheelersburg at Shawnee State University.

A disappointing afternoon for Taft, the Senators won their season opener over CMAC rival Western Hills but couldn't find a way to make it two in a row against Newport Central Catholic. I did think McMullen was a bright spot on Saturday as his shot-making, athleticism and transition play were all positives. With such a young team, Taft is sure to go through some up's and some down's this winter and while today will sting, I'm sure they'll have some marquee wins soon to get back on track.

Winton Woods had a battle with Covington Holy Cross and the perimeter shooting of Ingram helped his team pull away in the end and remain unbeaten early in the season. Winton Woods ran Ingram off some pindown actions, had him spot up and also allowed him to pick his spots in transition. Ingram had a stretch where he was fouled on a scoop layup, had a coast to coast take and then made a nice bounce pass that led to a dunk. After winning the ECC last season, somebody will have to take the crown off Winton Woods this winter

A fall transfer to Ohio, Wilkins will be updated in our database shortly to reflect his transfer to Winton Woods in Cincinnati. Wilkins is a big time shot maker from the outside who knocked down looks at a high percentage off the catch on Saturday. An impressive athlete as well, Wilkins was able to create space from the triple threat due to his burst and change of direction. One of the top new names in the 2025 class in Ohio, expect Wilkins to debut fairly high in Ohio's 2025 rankings when they are next updated.

I was impressed with the body transformation of Granville-Britten since the last time I saw him play in June. Finally looking healthy again, Granville-Britten isn't wearing as large of a knee brace and changing directions quicker on the court. After a slow start for the Princeton offense, Granville-Britten started going to work in the paint with an impressive dunk, and-1 layup and a couple second chance points. A Division I target with excellent size and production, Granville-Britten is averaging a double-double to start the season, Kieran is one of the top available prospects in Ohio's 2025 class.

After a slow start to his Sophomore season, this was statistically Gill's best game of the year. An elite athlete, Gill scored most of his points in transition and off second chance opportunities. A strong wing who can score at the rim through contact, Gill was finishing with both hands at the rim. Another area where Gill used his off hand was passing, I thought two or three times throughout the game Gill threw a pass with his left hand that was on target. Passing with either hand allows you to get the ball to your open teammate quicker and it tougher to shade you to one direction and I'm excited to see Gill continue to develop this skill. Gill also knocked down his third 3-pointer of the season off a DHO, a skill that could improve his ceiling at the college level down the road.
