One of two non-basketball commits in this article, Taylor is SEC bound on the diamond. Badin is known as a baseball powerhouse but this season they had a dominant basketball team thanks to a strong senior class that Taylor was a key part of. Winning the GCL-Co Ed in baseball for Taylor's first three seasons of high school, Badin split the GCL-Co Ed basketball championship in Taylor's last run on the hardwood. An impressive athlete who could guard multiple positions, rebound, create extra possessions and score in the paint, Taylor seemed to make his biggest impact in the biggest games of the season. On the diamond, Taylor is a career .357 hitter with eight home runs and 35 stolen bases.

An Army Football commit, Bowers and Steubenville went on a run to the state title game. I was impressed with Bowers physicality, perimeter shot making and two-way impact. Bowers led the Division III state title game in scoring at 22 points, making key shots for his team. Impressive run by Steubenville to make such a deep run after losing some key seniors last year. Impressive high school career for Bowers on the Hardwood and Gridiron for the Big Red, earning a spot as the number 39 shooting guard in Ohio, the same spot he is ranked in the country as a kicker.

Another southeast Ohio standout, Wittekind had a big season for Marietta and was already committed to Malone. Malone's Head Coach just announced he'd be taking a Division I assistant coaching opportunity, giving Wittekind the option to re-open his recruitment if interested. I was impressed with Wittekind's toughness, throwback style of play and ability to score at the rim and from the mid-range area. Definitely a role player at the college level, Wittekind already plays with a high basketball IQ and does the little things that don't show up on the stat sheet.

A player who I saw down at the state tournament, Bennett helped West Muskingum win a regional title and make history for their school. I was impressed with Bennett's rebounding, motor and ability to stretch the floor as a pick and pop option. Bennett was also a standout on the football field for the Tornadoes, using his size and length as a receiving threat.

A prospect who played on the Prep Hoops Circuit, Porter was one of the best wing guards in the MVL this season. With a quick first step and the ability to make secondary counter moves off the dribble, Porter had a big senior season for West Muskingum. Against Lutheran East, I was impressed with his ability to create mid-range looks off the dribble against talented athletes. Between Porter and Bennett, West Muskingum had one of the best senior duos in the east district.

Wise was a standout on the Prep Hoops Circuit and led Finneytown in scoring this season, stuffing the stat sheet. Averaging 11.6 points 4.5 rebounds 2.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game, Wise was producing for Finneytown until he had to miss the last four games of the season. The wing wants to slash to the rim and is at his best in transition. Nice to see a Prep Hoops Circuit standout continue that momentum to the summer during the high school season.
