Weatherspoon remains one of the quickest guards in his class and against Mountain View, showed a good attacking mindset to change speeds and set up his defender. He was really effective working on secondary drives, pulling the ball back after getting cut off or faking a drive, slowing his man down, and then he would burst by the other way. He also looked pretty good shooting around the perimeter with some midranges and 3-pointers falling.

The Beach senior is a tough, resilient guard who showed a lot of fight in a tough loss to Annie Wright last week. He led the Viks with 16 points, but more impressively was making plays on the glass (eight rebounds, five offensive), coming through with shot-making in critical moments, and finding ways to keep his team in it with hustle plays.

He had a big game against Zillah to lead his team to the win with 33 points. He did a great job reading how the defense wanted to contain him, finding some rhythm with perimeter shots at times, finding space along the baselines and working back middle, and later even taking his defender to the post for several buckets. He's just a crafty kid who showed the ability to slow the game down and get to his spots.

Robinson is a high-IQ player who can make plays on both ends of the floor. Against Annie Wright, it was some of his defensive prowess that stood out, especially in moments it seemed he was out-leveraged. He pulled the chair out on offensive players twice, once forcing a travel on an aggressive guard looking to make contact, and once while getting posted up by one of the Gator's bigs that led to a steal. He's a tactful player who can adapt to various circumstances throughout games.

Armendariz had a slow first half against West Valley but was a big part of their second-half run to make it a close game. He's a smaller guard but he has great quickness and is a strong player who can impact the game with his toughness and speed. He really left his mark on their second-half run with his ability to work to the foul line and set up his teammates from different spots.
