We conclude our preseason look at the RIIL with a breakdown of some notable forwards.

These are the prospects that will be continued on to control the paint on both ends of the floor this winter.

Below are five prospects to watch at the forward position in the RIIL this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2553759' first='Donovan' last='Clement']

Clement, an athletic 6'5" combo forward at Moses Brown, is one of the better inside-out forwards in the RIIL. A long and lean forward, he can really stretch the floor with his ability to shoot the basketball. He's started to leverage his shooting to open up driving lanes and provides some rim protection off the ball on the other end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2553706' first='Dante' last='DesMarais']

A physically strong forward, DesMarais is as gifted of a low post threat as there is in Rhode Island. The 6'6" forward out of East Greenwich is a traditional post that knows how to play with his back to the basket. He can score over either shoulder on either block, isn't fazed when a double comes, and does a good job of passing out of the post to open shooters.

[player_tooltip player_id='2568522' first='Mohammed' last='Fadia']

Fadia, an imposing 6'6" post presence out of Classical, might be the most athletically gifted big man in the state. A threat to punish the rim in transition, he has a strong base that he uses to his advantage on both ends of the floor. He doesn't give up ground defensively, while impressing as both a shot blocked and defensive rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id='2341351' first='Isaac' last='Ibidapo']

A 6'7" athlete that plays above the rim on both ends of the floor, Ibidapo should be a front-court anchor for Shea this winter. Maybe the most athletic forward in the RIIL, he does a great job of using his physical gifts to his advantage on the defensive end of the floor as a shut-down on ball defender that can generate plenty of steals and blocks too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2396775' first='Liam' last='Simpson']

Simpson, one of the most versatile big men in the state, will look to lead La Salle Academy on a deep playoff run this season. A solid athlete with a college ready frame, he's capable of handling the basketball in space, makes good reads in the half-court, and can score the basketball in a variety of ways both in the paint and from behind the arc.
