For the first time, we have placed a number of prospects in New England's Class of 2029 into a rankings. And, while it is still incredibly early in these prospects development, it does give us a chance to acknowledge some prospects that have successfully made the jump to the high school level.

At the top of the list is [player_tooltip player_id='2893338' first='Chance' last='Finlayson'], an athletic and rugged wing who has made an immediate impact at the prep level for St. George's. Just behind him, at #2, is Putnam Science Academy's [player_tooltip player_id='2969348' first='David' last='Djan'], a formidable two-way presence in the paint. Checking in at #3 is [player_tooltip player_id='2571904' first='Aidan' last='McGrath'] out of Thayer Academy, a big, lefty forward that impacts games with his athleticism and motor. Rounding out the Top 5, at #4 and #5 respectively, are [player_tooltip player_id='2630700' first='Tighe' last='Arache'] out of the St. Paul's School and [player_tooltip player_id='2571891' first='Herman' last='Carl Kone'] out of CATS Academy. Arache has impressed with his playmaking against high level competition, while Kone has a massive ceiling with his combination of size, length, and athleticism.

This list will continue to expand over time, with the hope being that we rank 50 prospects in the next update in March and 100 in June!

As a matter of principal, it is quite difficult to gauge current production and long term potential for prospects this young, particularly given that freshmen across the region could be playing at a number of different levels, including freshman basketball, junior varsity, and varsity. Thus, it becomes much easier in the spring, when these prospects compete directly against one another in the same age brackets on the travel circuit.

With that being said, we do aim to highlight as many prospects as we can in each class, while also acknowledging that it's easier for scouts to focus on varsity level contests with multiple grades present. If your name doesn't appear in the rankings or on the watch list, feel free to reach out to one of our scouts to introduce yourself and get your name on our radar!

In all, 27 prospects have been ranked in this update, with an additional 118 appearing on the Watch List.

All six New England states are represented in these rankings, with prospects coming from the NEPSAC, the Power 5, the Nike EYBL Scholastic League, and each of the six state associations.

Positionally, these rankings feature 2 Point Guards, 4 Combo Guards, 4 Shooting Guards, 6 Small Forwards, 6 Power Forwards, and 5 Centers.

Keep an eye on the site throughout the week as we highlight the Top 5, Newcomers, and more!
