Elyria (OH)/North Ridgeville Game Recap

Elyria (OH) was able to comeback and defeat North Ridgeville in OT Friday night 81-78. Here were some of the prospects who caught my attention throughout the game.    Crutcher's ability to be mainstay as a primary scorer was shown throughout the game. He glides to his spots in the mid-range. Crutcher seems to get the members bounce whenever he hoists one of his old reliable in-between game shots. He ran the floor in transition. He altered a shot with bid mile long length. His ability to hit shots from the perimeter was shown.     [player_tooltip player_id='2204949' first='Kendyll' last='Compton'] who started the game semi sluggish thrived in the 4th quarter & the overtime period. He was constantly getting paint touches as an attacker. He was a frequent customer at the foul line. 12 of his 16 points came during the latter stretches of the game. He was able to make plays for others as a facilitator. He used his length to come down with rebounds.     Blanton who's a safe pair of hands knows his role and made the most of it. He was able to hit shots off the ball as a catch & shoot guy. He converted his foul shots. Blanton finished with 16 points with 3 threes. He is one of the best guards in Lorain county. He would be a great pickup at the small college level for a program that needs a guard who can do a little bit of everything.     Bell was able to finish inside and convert on easy chances. He made hustle plays frequently and had no problem doing whatever was needed to help his team win. He came up with rebounds. Bell showed he could make shots from three. Bell added 11 points with most coming in the 2nd half. He isn't the speediest player but doesn't let that hold him back from making an impact.     Daniels is a speed demon who thrives when he can show off his quickness and athleticism. He likes to pressure the ball and cause havoc on opposing offenses to force turnovers. He is great getting paint touches on the attack. He was able to chip in 12 points. He showed his ability to make plays on both ends. He has a quick step which makes it hard to stay in front of him.     Tuma is an undersized forward who can be a mismatch problem due to his ability to stretch the floor and score on the interior. He finished with 18 points and four three pointers. He showed he could guard multiple positions. He has a great blend of strength and length.     Miller thrived having the ball in his hands and showed he could find different ways to score the basketball. He lured defenders to sleep with how he could slow the game down. He had a game high 21 points. He did a good job of moving the ball and made plays for others frequently. He was also able to rebound.     Pawful is wide bodied forward who thrived as a mismatch with his scoring versatility. He stretched the floor as a shooter from deep hitting two threes. He also showed he could put it on the deck. Pawful is a quick slow who will take advantage of defenses who give him room to wiggle to spots.
