Pierce has elite athleticism and has embraced the role of being West Seattle's top scorer this season. He is a guy they can count on to create his own shot and get buckets when they need a spark. What has been really impressive is his shot-making in between 3-point range and the rim. His athleticism makes him a big threat at the rim, and he has in the gym range, but he's taken advantage of some space in the midrange and has looked solid getting different looks in that area and filling out his scoring profile.

Shareef-Dulaney is easily one of the most fun freshmen in the state to watch. He plays with a high motor and has already shown he's not one to back down from a challenge, showcasing phenomenal toughness and grit. He can score from each level, is creative by the hoop, and has some legit shiftiness with the rock. He's helped Lincoln get out to an 8-1 record with key wins over Roosevelt, Bellarmine, Silas, and Lakes.

Whitaker has been a force to start the year and has been one of the top scorers in the state over the first month of the season. He's helped lead Liberty to a 9-1 record, including a big win over reigning 4A champs, Mount Si. He's a kid who plays solid across the board, understands how to set defenders up and create space with or without the ball, and has one of the better deep shots in the state. He's been absolutely electric to start the year and has Liberty looking like one of the toughest teams in the 3A so far.

Horntvedt is an exceptional prospect as a 6-foot-7 guard, and he can score from a lot of different spots and situations. He's looked stronger on drives, using his size to hold off defenders and play off of two by the hoop. He's worked from the post to muscle up defenders and then use a quick move inside or baseline to get around and to the basket, and still has that 3-point range to come down and spot up. He's done well to size up defenders and decide how to attack, broadening his offensive impact for the Bombers.

Bieber has Bear Creek off to a 6-2 start and has been averaging 24.6 ppg so far this winter. He's had 25+ in five of their eight games, including a 30-point outing in their latest loss to Brewster, where he shot 11-of-20 from the field. He's the guy who makes their offense go, and while he needs to be aggressive in searching for his shot, he also exhibits some excellent patience to hunt driving lanes and take what the defense is giving him. He has a smooth outside shot that allows him to score from inside and out, and has been off to a hot start in his senior season.
