Lide leap frogs to the 10th spot in the 2025 rankings. He has had some outstanding performances lately. Most recently putting up 38 points in one game the Scholastic Series in California, and 58 points in Rancho's first official game of the season against Valley. His 3-point shooting ability is elite and not many teams will be able to slow him down this season.

Darden Jr has caught my eye with his speed and shooting these last few months. He can blow right by his guy and get to the cup. Or knock down shots from the perimeter. The other thing you see when you watch him play is how hard he competes. Previously at 22, I've moved him up 5 spots to the 17 position.

Cardona is the floor general for Cimarron again this season after leading the Spartans to 19 wins last year. He is a quality facilitator and he can shoot, which makes him a tough guard. He and [player_tooltip player_id='1336295' first='Gerald' last='Patterson'] already picked up one solid win against Desert Pines on Sunday. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does in other big match-ups.

Wright was Boulder City's leading scorer last season and I predict that he'll do the same this season. He has a pure shooting stroke and can get to his spots pretty efficiently. Look for him to have more than a few 20+ games this year if he can get going early.

Thompson jumps up to the #67 spot after being up at 142 before. His top skills in my opinion are his ball-handling and defense. So far at Paragon he has done a good job of navigating full-court presses. On defense, he has a longer wingspan than his opponents anticipate and usually picks up a steal or two a game.

Walker has some blazing speed and covers ground quickly on both ends of the court. When he gets out in transition, no one is catching him. He can also occasionally hit outside shots. On defense, I've noticed that he is constantly hustling and staying with his guy.
