is an explosive guard that can get downhill in a hurry. His forward momentum often helps him get all the way to the rack and he is capable of throwing down monster slam dunks. Thompson doesn’t just look to attack though, he can also knock down shots from the outside. On defense, he is a pest due to his wingspan and lateral quickness.

is one of the more athletic senior guards out there. He can jump out of the gym and and can accelerate in a hurry. Those attributes allow him to get both blocks and steals on the defensive end. On offense, Thompson likes to get downhill if possible. But he can also get hot from the perimeter every so often.

used his deceptive ball-handling skills to create his own shot in Paragon’s game against Impact Academy. I was a fan of how he got separation and then also made some not so easy finishes. Thompson made a few plays on defense too using his length and reaction time.

Thompson jumps up to the #67 spot after being up at 142 before. His top skills in my opinion are his ball-handling and defense. So far at Paragon he has done a good job of navigating full-court presses. On defense, he has a longer wingspan than his opponents anticipate and usually picks up a steal or two a game.

has been playing well this last month. He absolutely has some craftiness to his game on offense. I like how he accelerates as he drives to the rim, and I’ve also noticed him knocking down a couple of 3-pointers per game. In the Colorado Prep game he also made his presence felt on defense and forced a few turnovers.
He had 16 points in the Colorado Prep game, and has been averaging about 15 PPG this past month.

at the Halloween Hoopfest. He seemed to handle the defensive pressure well when the other teams were in their full court press. I was also a fan of the defense that he played. He used his long wingspan on a few occasions to snatch up some steals. Which led to some transition points for Paragon. Thompson was also Paragon’s second leading scorer in their game against “The Land”, putting up 16 points.

Thompson is the other point guard for Paragon and he performs well when his number is called. He also plays high level defense and can get deflections and steals.
