<p>One of the longest running holiday tournaments in the state of Indiana, the First Financial Classic has become a staple day after Christmas tradition. Hosted by Terre Haute North High School this season, many of the best programs in west central Indiana, along with a few programs from across the Illinois border, get together for a four-day, 16-team tournament. As has become tradition, Prep Hoops Indiana spent the day on Thursday streaming all eight games of this great event. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Terre Haute South 57 Shakamak 44</h2>

<p>Terre Haute South placed three scorers in double-figures as South Dakota football commit Chris Herrin scored 17 points while Peyton Turner and Treva Branch-Lewis added 16 points and 15 points respectively. Linden Jenkins, a senior forward, led all scorers with 22 points in the loss for Shakamak.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">West Vigo 48 Casey-Westfield (IL) 43 (OT)</h2>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1297114' first='Talan' last='Boehler'] scored a team-leading 17 points while Landon Fields add 14 points in West Vigo's first round victory. For Casey-Westfield it was Daryl Hupp connecting on five three-pointers for 15 points, but they came up short in the overtime period.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Terre Haute North 53 Sullivan 38</h2>

<p>Terre Haute North trailed by four points at the half, but held Sullivan to just four points in the third quarter and came back to win 53-38. 6'6" junior sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id='1561105' first='Brady' last='Klopfenstein'] hit five three-point shots to lead the Patriots with 15 points. Both [player_tooltip player_id='1561104' first='Gavin' last='Woelfle'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2053676' first='Bryce' last='Renn'] added 12 points. 6'6" junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='1561438' first='Cooper' last='Bock'] finished with 16 points in the loss for Sullivan.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Greencastle 45 Marshall (IL) 42</h2>

<p>What was a 30-16 Greencastle lead at the half turned into Marshall having the ball in the air to tie the game at the buzzer, but the Tigers Cubs survived to advance to the First Financial Classic quarterfinals. [player_tooltip player_id='1728674' first='Sam' last='Gooch'] scored 14 points and [player_tooltip player_id='2472612' first='Nathan' last='Sutherlin'] added 13 points for Greencastle. In the loss for Marshall it was Trey Scott leading all scorers with 19 points.</p>
