Preseason Preview: 2025 Wings Set to Impact Winning

This collection of wings and bigger guards have found repeated success within a few dribbles, maximizing their opportunities within the offensive flow.    Cox is a formidable scoring threat while attacking the rim, capable of elevating for dunks regardless of the incoming contest. Bringing good size at roughly 6'4, the 2025 prospect looks to build upon a successful season at Falcon, following averages of 12 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. His quick first allows him plenty of opportunities to not only pressure the rim, but create great looks for teammates off the kickout.     Collins continues to provide impactful defense for Palmer and with 7070 throughout the summer, bringing constant activity to instigate opponents. Bringing great hand eye coordination to deflect passes and shot attempts, his contributions on the margins continue to patch up holes in whatever setting he finds himself on defensive side. A particularly switchable forward thanks to his wiry frame and quick hips, few opposing guards have success targeting him one on one.     Perez brings size and skill at the wing, showing upside as a floor spacer who can guard multiple positions when necessary. Effective slotting into a wide variety of lineups, he is about the farthest thing from a ball stopper. His ability to be physical on the boards will be especially valuable towards elevating his playing time, particularly on the defensive end. Bringing necessary size to that Lewis-Palmer group, his willingness to leverage that 6'5 frame could be a swing factor within that group.     Recently committed to Doane, Bertholf is an asset for Falcon, an especially physical playmaker for that group. Following a productive summer and previous high school season, he has made steady improvements as a ball handler , more comfortable leveraging his frame against mismatches. Posting a team high 7.5 rebounds per game last season with Falcon, he leverages his strength about as well as anyone in the greater Colorado Springs Metro. Bertholf's continued growth as a floor spacer or playmaker out of the elbows will be worth following, given his ability to dominate mismatches.     With a much smaller roster than past seasons, Vista Peak regroups with a backcourt centric roster, setting the stage for Mosley to excel with plenty of spacing. A physical matchup one on one, his steady handle while going against opposing defenders allows him to maximize his physical tools at roughly 6'3.     Yunker's floor spacing will be sorely needed with Palmer, bringing a smooth jumper off the catch alongside the 6'4 frame. Contributing a steady percentage from distance last season and throughout the summer, he was among the more reliable perimeter shooters in the southern front range. His willingness to not only attack the rim, but draw contact on a consistent basis will be essential towards rounding out his offensive repertoire.     Walkowiak brings a constant motor, complemented by a wide reach to make an impact in so many areas. Active attacking the paint, he has been dependable as a slasher or straight line driver off the rip through. His lanky frame allows him to cover space quickly, making him a serviceable defensive weapon, particularly in the help side.     Hunter will have improved opportunities on the defensive side, slotted as a switchable option versus anybody on the floor. Bringing the necessary athleticism to contest shots or throw down energizing dunks, he will be a must watch prospect to follow at Palmer.
