The season is just around the corner. We have had a busy fall seeing players in various settings including camps, workouts, and open gyms. In our Market Corrections series there are two types of movement. First are new players that are moving into the rankings from the evaluations this fall. The second is prospects that made “significant” moves up the board. We will be breaking down both of these areas for each class along with the reasoning from the fall evaluations that made them names we wanted to correct before the season gets underway.

Here are Market Corrections: 2026 New Additions!

[player_tooltip player_id='1790001' first='Eddie' last='Smajic'] (Columbia)

Recently moved into Columbia after first two years at Vianney in St. Louis. “Smajic made noise at Vianney as a sophomore and has the look of a big time prospect. Strong frame and plus shot maker from three. Didn't make as many threes as we are used to in the game we saw, but what we did like was the ability to shot fake and attack close outs for scores at the rim.” – Show Me Showdown

[player_tooltip player_id='2617454' first='Simereon' last='Carter'] (Waukegan)

“Carter was one of the players that left the biggest impact on us. He is a prospect to be frank we haven't seen in a long time as he wasn't really seen on the circuit, but he was super impressive at the EXPO. The 6'4” wing is a big and strong wing that has really developed physically since we saw him earlier in his career. Showed a good feel for the game making sound passing reds including in the pick/roll. Crashed the glass on both ends. He was at his best offensively putting his head down and getting to the rim with his power and athleticism.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2617411' first='Kaleb' last='Istvanik'] (Downers Grove South)

“One of the breakout shot makers at the camp was this 6'3” shooting guard. The DGS wing has a crisp release and consistently made threes time after time hitting a handful in the full 5 on 5 game that we got to take in. Clean mechanics and has some projectability with his long arms.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

Aaron LaRoche-Dogbe (Jones)

“Liked what we saw out of this 6'6” wing who brought big time athleticism to the table. Broad shouldered and long arms. Really excelled with his ability to get to the rim and score with reverse layups, scoop shots, and an array of acrobatic finishes. Like what he brought on the boards as a wing rebounder with solid size.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2617423' first='Luke' last='Robinson'] (Richmond Burton)

“Robinson put his name on our radar early in the camp with how well he shot it in 3 on 3. At 6'4” he has good positional size and length. Plus three point shooter with a very clean stroke making them in bunches. More than just a spot up guy he can attack a close out with straight line takes.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2632005' first='Levente' last='Tallos'] (Lake Forest Academy)

“Tallos caught our attention as the 6'3” shooting guard showed solid passing instincts getting his teammates involved with slick dump offs inside. What stood out most however was his shot making. Can pull it from super deep as well as off the catch. Compact release with elevation off the floor.” – [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='1552464' first='Kenan' last='Pekovic'] (Rolling Meadows)

“This 6'3” small forward could be an x-factor for Rolling Meadows this season. He brings versatility on the wing being able to play inside and out. Finished well around the cup on dump offs, had a nice right handed hook shot, got on the offensive glass, and can stretch the floor. The athleticism shows on the defensive end as well.” – [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2617457' first='Travis' last='Marks III'] (Bolingbrook)

“Marks is a 6'3” shooting guard that should be a nice piece in the rotation for Bolingbrook this year. It was his passing instincts that made the biggest impression on us. Threw great outlet passes, pushed in the open floor for dimes, and proved to be an excellent connector.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2617412' first='Kamari' last='Hamlin'] (Simeon)

“Hamlin is a thick bodied 6'0” shooting guard that brings a lot of intangibles to the table. Strong frame and solid skill set which was shown on one impressive spin move. Rebounds well for his position and is a solid passer. Going to be a great glue guy for the [program_tooltip program_id='2076046' first='Wolverines' last=''] this season!” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2617458' first='Trey' last='Nguyen'] (Niles West)

“This was one of the sleeper guards at the camp that really impressed. Left handed combo guard that is a creative passer getting others involved. He shot it at a very high level from distance throughout the event. Pushes well in transition. His combination of IQ, shot making, and passing make him a player that small colleges should track as a 5'9” guard.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2617393' first='Jace' last='Wilkinson'] (Collinsville)

“Wilkinson is a 6'0” combo guard is very skilled with his handle, shot making, and IQ for the game. He has some projectability to continue to grow with his long arms. Soft touch finishing game, sound shot maker from two and three, along with being able to make plays on his own including a nice shot fake/step through.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2477842' first='Amareon' last='Adams'] (Carterville)

“The 6'6” power forward from Carterville is an intriguing post with athletic pop! The lefty four man played with a good motor, showed off spin moves round the hoop, and flashed a face up shot knocking in a three.” – Pure Sweat Fall Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2617390' first='Ilija' last='Babic'] (South Elgin)

“The South Elgin 6'6” power forward is a quality area rebounder on both ends that hit the offensive glass for several put backs. Shined doing his work on the boards at the camp.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2617419' first='Liiban' last='Debela'] (Perspectives)

“This 5'11” point guard has a good pull up game from three hitting several including banking one in. The wiry guard is smooth with his handles and uses his athleticism go get in the lane and score.” – Prep Hoops EXPO
