Michael Schneiderman | Prep Hoops Scout
Put on a show from start to finish on both ends of the floor. Defensively created havoc from inside and out anticipating passes or drives. Made multiple turnovers to get out on the break and speed the game up. Came away with at least a half a dozen dunks in which half were alley oops off of EOB, fast break off the glass, and a backdoor cut. Finished with nearly 30 points and 10 boards. Showcased a ton of athletic ability within flow and rhythm of game that was hard to match on the other side of the ball.

Carter had a big game for Waukegan in their victory. He is a long and athletic wing that loves to slash and play in the open floor. That is where he did almost all of his damage in the victory. Attacked with force and speed scoring over and over again at the rim with dunks and super acrobatic layups. Threw down an alley oop, pushed coast to coast off the defensive glass, and converted through contact at the rim being able to finish with either hand. He had 21 points.

Carter opened our eyes in the fall at the Prep Hoops Camp. Big wing with good size and length that can play a number of positions. In this game he only scored 5 points getting on the glass for a put back along with an and-1. Did show some defensive instincts as well.

Carter stood out as the most impressive prospect on this team, excelling in multiple areas. With the ball in his hands, his strength and body control allowed him to create angles and finish at the rim, frequently turning one-on-one matchups into mismatches. In transition, Carter showcased leadership, either finishing at the rim with power or delivering precision passes to teammates in stride. Defensively, his length and athleticism were disruptive, tipping passes and creating steals, while his strong vertical made him a factor on both ends of the court. Carter’s combination of size, skill, and athleticism make him a standout prospect.
