About Van Regenmorter: Van Regenmorter is one of the best pure basketball players in the state. He's a flat-out winner who does everything well on both ends of the floor, using his strength and athleticism to defend bigger bodies or holding his own against quicker guards on the perimeter. On the offensive end, he's a force who can create plays at a high level off the dribble, using his handles, physicality, and vision to find open teammates and create quality looks. He finishes really well around the rim, can step out and stretch the floor, and is excellent in the mid-range.

Why he can win Mr. Basketball: The focal point for the state's premier program, Van Regenmorter has a chance to win a second state title, and help add to Western Christian's record haul of state titles. He should get up into the 1500-point, 500-rebound, 350-assist career mark territory, and he'll probably be playing on Championship Friday, allowing more time for voters to see him play. A decorated player for a highly decorated program, he'll be a serious contender for the award.
