Introducing Mr. Basketball Candidate #2: Xzavion Robinson

As part of our preseason preview content, we're counting down the top 15 candidates for this year's Mr. Basketball award, presented annually to the top senior in the state. Following the departure of Curtis Stinson Jr to a prep school in Ohio, Robinson will be the focal point of Valley's attack as a senior. He's one of the best athletes in the state, an explosive leaper who finishes above the rim with authority despite being listed at 6-0. He can score from all three levels, create plays off the dribble for himself and his teammates, and is a really good, active defender.   Why he can win Mr. Basketball: He already holds a pair of state titles on the hardwood, and he was the best player on the floor for one of those runs. If he's able to lead Valley to a 3-peat, it would be difficult to go against him, as he would need to be dominant to lead the Tigers to a third state championship. He's more than capable of doing so, and he's not so much the #2 player on this countdown as the 1B.
