Warriors Roll Past Tigers:

This game was over quite fast as the Waccamaw HS Warriors rolled past the undermanned Hemingway HS Tigers. The Warriors led at the halftime break 37-20 before running away and winning 79-29. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='2460186' first='Sutton' last='Cooper'] led the way for the Warriors with 18 points. Leon Womack came off the bench and scored 10 points in the win.

The Class 2A Auctioneers defeated the Seahawks here tonight 56-34. The Auctioneers set the tone early and never looked back. Mullins HS got strong play from junior [player_tooltip player_id='2299732' first='Deyon' last='Ford'] with 17 points. Deyon was able to score at the rim by fending off defenders with his arms. Ford does take tough shots at times and does make them to boot. He wants the ball in his hands when he can get it.

[player_tooltip player_id='2305379' first='Dakarai' last='Worley'] added 10 points for the Auctioneers while power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2299734' first='Braden' last='Hughes'] chipped in with 6 points. Worley played at a nice even keel all game long from the backcourt. Hughes a left-handed post player provides muscle and some contact down low.

The Auctioneers held a lead of 50-18 with 2:14 in the 3rd quarter.

Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1295795' first='James' last='Watson'] led the Seahawks with 16 points. [player_tooltip player_id='1183948' first='John' last='Simmons'] a Howard University signee, guard [player_tooltip player_id='2460183' first='Matthew' last='Campbell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2425412' first='Jamarcus' last='Carroll'] all were not in attendance for the Seahawks here today.

Socastee HS jumped out quickly and coasted to a 34-4 lead at the halftime break. The Braves were led by senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2085916' first='Bryson' last='Sams'] with 14 points. The Braves got 10 players in the scorebook tonight in the lopsided win 60-17. Sams is a very deceptive athlete and really showed his athleticism at times going to the rack and finishing buckets from the left side.

Manning HS was missing several players due to football since the Monarchs will be playing in the 3rd round this coming week.

Bulldogs Cruise in Nightcap:

The host Bulldogs cruised past Timberland HS in the nightcap 90-42. The Bulldogs led 55-25 at the halftime break. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='2498310' first='Amos' last='Jones'] exploded for 33 points here today. Jones can really look to score the ball in a variety of ways. Amos is a SCORER. He does a nice job of elevating up on his jumper and getting a good shot release off. Jones really has good body control to the basket and sees the floor well to make his teammates happy. Jones is a sure Stock-Riser in next week's 2025 Palmetto State Rankings played at Keenan HS last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2881108' first='Jari' last='Ford'] and Ahmir Mickel both juniors provided good production tonight in the win. Ford an undersized post player battled his way to 16 points while Mickel chimed in with 11 points. Ford has a thicker frame and does his best work around the cup area playing through contact. Mickel is a left-handed slasher deluxe who really looks to play the game with a high motor at times. Ahmir has some bounce in his step that's for sure.
