The season is less than a month away and scrimmages are starting up as soon as this weekend. For a different type of season preview, I wanted to find one "X-Factor" in each of Kentucky's districts for this season. Here are 64 X-Factors for the 24-25 season, one for district in the state.

Combs missed a large chunk of his freshman season with a broken arm, only seeing action in 4 varsity games. Roman is more of a wing than a post but for Cooper to have success this season, they have to replace the rebounding and post presence of Shaun Pouncy. The younger Combs is likely the best candidate to get 8+ rebounds per game this season. Any offense he adds is just a big bonus. He has a ton of long term potential but look for him to be more of a role player as a Sophomore and become the Jags best player as a Junior.

Dixie Heights has graduated some talent in the past couple of seasons but Rubemeyer is capable of stepping into a bigger role after being a second or third option for most of the last couple of seasons. Max is a good athlete and defender whose offense will be needed more this season than the last two years. If Rubemeyer can rise to the occasion, Dixie has potential to surprise some people this season.

Covington Catholic lost Caden Miller to graduation and Donovan is best suited to replace his production and presence out of anyone on their returning roster. Bradshaw is a very athletic player who is confident around the rim or when he's out on the perimeter. With most of the scoring expected to come from [player_tooltip player_id='1575699' first='Athens' last='McGillis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1359135' first='Cash' last='Harney'], the Colonels will need Bradshaw to offer some kind of a presence to alleviate some of the scoring strain from the guards.

Newport gets a lot of praise and high rankings right now but when you look at their roster, they lost their three leading scorers and don't return anyone who averaged double figures last year. Enter [player_tooltip player_id='1571213' first='Noah' last='Silverton']. In my opinion, Silverton is best positioned for a much bigger role as a Senior and has more than waited his turn. Noah is an athletic wing who can be disruptive on defense and scores enough to keep opposing defenders honest. Don't be surprised if Noah ends up going from 3 points and 2 rebounds last season to more like 10 and 6 this season in a bigger role for Coach Snapp.
