[player_tooltip player_id='1285970' first='Antonio' last='Burns'] is in contention for the fastest player that I've seen in the varsity fall league. He didn't play a ton of minutes because Mojave was giving some other guys looks. But when he was on the court he really hit the gas pedal and had some impressive layups. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does once the real season is underway.

[player_tooltip player_id='1418231' first='Santonio' last='Waide'] was at it again on Tuesday. The Kentucky transfer had two quality performances against Desert Pines and Democracy Prep. He had a few drives to the basket where he left his defenders completely in the dust. The crafty guard changes direction in a split second. It reminds you of a running back in football hitting a hole. His play helped Trinity secure the win over Desert Pines. Trinity lost the second game but he finished with 33 points.

Desert Pines played in two games on Tuesday night and I liked what I saw from Merto. The rising sophomore is a high IQ player and makes smart plays consistently. Rebounding and defense are definitely strong suits of his. He also has great shot selection and uses his athleticism to beat defenders to his spots.

Toms had a great offensive performance for the Panthers against Mojave on Tuesday night. He did a really nice job finding his teammates when he drove with the ball, and he had a few layups himself. I also noticed him moving off ball, which led to some open shot attempts for him.

Lucius Fox is a 6'8 forward who has some athleticism. In both games that I watched him play, he was running the floor incredibly well and making plays on defense. His length is a huge problem for opposing players and he can cut you off in a hurry. I also liked his offensive game. He has a good looking jump shot and attacks the basket hard.
