The highly anticipated new edition of the class of 2026 rankings have finally been released, with over 140 players in the rankings, including over 40 new players to the list!

We'll take a look at positional rankings between guards, wings and big over the next week or so. Here's a look at part one of the wings rankings, lookin at some of the best shooting guards and small forwards in the class.

25) [player_tooltip player_id='2252305' first='Mike' last='Robinson'] | 6'4” SF | South County (#54 Overall)

Robinson is someone that could take a jump in these rankings if he has a breakout season the way we expect him to, as he showed flashes as a sophomore and could be one of the top players in NOVA public schools this year. At 6'4” he's a strong wing who is an athletic finisher in transition and when he gets downhill, he can play on the ball and create shots, he can move off the ball and make shots off the catch and he is a good rebounder for his position too.

24) [player_tooltip player_id='2252298' first='Mathias' last='Lee'] | 6'6” SF | Westfield (#53 Overall)

Lee will play an important role for this deep Westfield team that has six players ranked in the 2026 class, as they're very guard oriented and while he'll often be the biggest player on the floor his versatility allows them to give a lot of five out looks. At 6'6” he's a good athlete who is capable of guarding in the post and on the perimeter, he can make shots when he's left open on the perimeter, he's great in transition and he is a walking mismatch at this level.

23) [player_tooltip player_id='1963394' first='Zaevion' last='Cleveland'] | 6'4” SF | Landstown (#51 Overall)

Cleveland seems to have taken a step back from basketball as he's become quite the prospect on the football field, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a tough matchup on the hardwood when he's on the floor. He's a natural athlete who is highly explosive in transition and when he gets downhill, he's an excellent rebounder for his size, a good shot blocker when he comes to help and he can make open shots as well.

22) Kyren Oglesby | 6'4” SF | Handley (#50 Overall)

Oglesby is a part of a young but talented Handley team that will be a tough matchup and looks to make a deep run in the state tournament this year, and his versatility will be a big reason why. At 6'4” he's able to play and guard multiple positions for them at this level, he can use his strength to create space and finish at the rim, he is deadly in the midrange and he can take slower guys off the bounce too.

21) [player_tooltip player_id='2347772' first='Jake' last='Bahr'] | 6'4” SG | Bishop Ireton (#49 Overall)

Bahr is part of an Ireton team that is starting to make a lot of noise in the WCAC, and if he has a good junior season for a team that could shake things up he could see himself move up this list as well. At 6'4” he has good size on the perimeter and a skillset that translates as he shoots it well off the catch, he attacks closeouts with great footwork on the pull-up and as a finisher and he has good instincts on both ends of the floor too.

20) [player_tooltip player_id='1767550' first='Andrew' last='Maria'] | 6'5” SG | Bethel Academy (#48 Overall)

Maria transferred to Bethel Academy and reclassified to the 2026 class after being a standout at Yorktown the last few years, and he's looking like a late bloomer that just keeps getting better and better. The 6'5” off guard is highly skilled and crafty with great footwork and knows how to use fakes to create space, he makes good decisions with the ball in his hands, he can score it in a variety of ways from all over and he's becoming more athletic every time we see him.

19) [player_tooltip player_id='2252302' first='William' last='Robinson'] | 6'5” SF | Westfield (#47 Overall)

Robinson is another player on that deep Westfield team that will be a tough out for anyone this season, and the 6'5” wing is having a great fall where he's asserting himself as one of their toughest players to matchup with. He fits their system perfectly with his ability to knock down open shots from deep, he attacks the offensive glass hard, he can guard almost every position and he plays with a great motor on both ends.

18) [player_tooltip player_id='1963530' first='Marcus' last='Hancock'] | 6'3” SG | St. Stephen's St. Agnes (#44 Overall)

Hancock transferred to SSSAS from John Paul the Great this summer after being a standout for them the last two seasons, and he's one of the top shooters in the DMV and continues to round out his game as well. The 6'3” off guard is absolutely deadly from deep with effortless range, he's super consistent and makes shots at a ridiculous clip and he's starting to improve his ball handling and playmaking skills as well.

17) [player_tooltip player_id='1767553' first='Trey' last='Fitch'] | 6'5” SG | Fairfax Christian (#43 Overall)

Fitch will step into a much bigger role this year for Fairfax Christian as he looks to help lead them a third straight state championship run, and he has a lot of tools that would intrigue college coaches moving forward. At 6'5” he has good size on the wing and his frame should fill out in a collegiate setting, he is a very good shooter with range off the catch and he has a great IQ and consistently makes the right play for his team.

16) [player_tooltip player_id='2612840' first='Abraham' last='Taft'] | 6'5” SF | Hampton (#42 Overall)

Taft is a very intriguing long term prospect who played a big role as a sophomore in Hampton winning the Class 4 state championship, and coming off a good summer I expect him to take a jump and be even better this year. At 6'5” he's a strong and explosive wing who is a walking highlight in transition with his above the rim play, he's an excellent rebounder and a high upside defender and he continues to improve his ability to make shots from deep and create off the bounce too.
