Time now to dive into the class and positional breakdowns of The EXPO: Illinois event! Here we examine 2026 Wings!

[player_tooltip player_id='2617428' first='Mason' last='Lockett IV'] (Oswego East)

Lockett is a silky smooth junior wing who is among the best in his class. The 6'4” two guard has three level scoring pop with a nice looking jumper where he can rise over defenders to make shots. Also has a smooth handle to blow past defenders for scores in the paint. Moves well off the ball including cutting to the hoop finishing dump offs. We are fans of what he brings as a versatile two way wing that has major upside on the offensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617385' first='Drew' last='Lundberg'] (West Aurora)

Lundberg is a two guard from West Aurora that impressed us over the spring/summer with 88 West and did more of the same at the EXPO. He is a 6'4” wing that can really shoot the basketball. He has a clean release and consistent mechanics along with plus positional size. One of the better pure catch and shoot guys in the 2026 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617353' first='Andre' last='Tyler'] (Simeon)

Tyler is a top 10 prospect in the 2026 class. The Simeon wing is a fluid athlete with size and length. He showed that off with several big blocks from his two guard spot. Was maybe the best we have seen him pass it as he was willing to get his teammates involved. Wiry athlete that can get past defenders in one on one situations. Should be a big season for Tyler with the [program_tooltip program_id='2076046' first='Wolverines' last=''] as he is their most talented player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617381' first='Dominic' last='Boyd'] (Edwardsville)

Boyd made the drive up from the metro east and proved he can hang with the big boys. The transfer from Texas caught our attention over the summer with Illinois Orange and continued to more of the same. It was his intensity and production on the defensive end that made the biggest impression. He was an intense perimeter defender as the two guard locked down on that end getting steals and blocks. Plus athlete that has a good mid-range jumper and is a connector on the offensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617380' first='Deven' last='Triplett'] (Joliet West)

Triplett is a long and rangy 6'0” two guard that plays taller than his height because of his length. Very good defender that can guard multiple positions. Acrobatic finisher at the cup and has proven to be a more consistent shot maker from both mid-range and three. Can sneak in and get a couple buckets a game on the offensive glass.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617411' first='Kaleb' last='Istvanik'] (Downers Grove South)

One of the breakout shot makers at the camp was this 6'3” shooting guard. The DGS wing has a crisp release and consistently made threes time after time hitting a handful in the full 5 on 5 game that we got to take in. Clean mechanics and has some projectability with his long arms.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617418' first='Lawson' last='Bynum'] (East St. Louis)

Bynum is among the top 2026 prospects in the metro east especially on the wing. He has a tremendous frame as a well built 6'6” small forward. What you have to like with Bynum is his versatility to impact inside and out along with on both ends. He can post up and power through weaker defenders, hit the offensive glass, as well as knock down spot up jumpers. Defensively he can defend threes and fours with his strength and athleticism. Brother is a D1 player at Cal State Fullerton.

Aaron LaRoche-Dogbe (Jones)

Liked what we saw out of this 6'6” wing who brought big time athleticism to the table. Broad shouldered and long arms. Really excelled with his ability to get to the rim and score with reverse layups, scoop shots, and an array of acrobatic finishes. Like what he brought on the boards as a wing rebounder with solid size.

Kenaz Jackson (Kankakee)

Jackson is a prospect that we are extremely high on after what he did during the summer. This small forward is a smooth wing that has excellent size at 6'4”. We like his combination of inside and outside scoring. Jackson has a feathery jumper along with the ability to attack in the open floor and in the half court using his length to convert inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617454' first='Simereon' last='Carter'] (Waukegan)

Carter was one of the players that left the biggest impact on us. He is a prospect to be frank we haven't seen in a long time as he wasn't really seen on the circuit, but he was super impressive at the EXPO. The 6'4” wing is a big and strong wing that has really developed physically since we saw him earlier in his career. Showed a good feel for the game making sound passing reds including in the pick/roll. Crashed the glass on both ends. He was at his best offensively putting his head down and getting to the rim with his power and athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617389' first='Gage' last='Peterson'] (Waltonville)

Peterson is among the top southern Illinois wings in the 2026 class. Size, strength, and solid athleticism at 6'5”. He is a good spot up shooter that can knock down perimeter shots. Handles it well taking the ball off the defensive glass pushing in transition. Also liked how he cut to the hoop off the ball for multiple scores.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617432' first='Mickeis' last='Johnson'] (Joliet West)

Johnson is a strong and physical shooting guard from Joliet West that is a power wing. He attacks downhill with force and the intention to finish or get fouled. Sometimes he does both! Was in attack mode and even hit a three and-1 from the perimeter.
