One Thought Per Team

St. Thomas Academy. STA is not the team with the most individual talent but they play the best team basketball, they have two returning all League guys, five guys from their rotation total, and that equates to our pick after winning 18 games last year.

South St. Paul. SSP lost their top three scorers from a team that really underachieved at 13-15 a season ago. The young talent is there, they got a good transfer and some solid role guys back, but will they have the chemistry?

Minneapolis Roosevelt. Roosevelt has been lost for so long I don't think many noticed that they were 12-4 in non league play last year and they won a playoff game against Harding! They have some momentum to be somewhat better plus their best player returns.

St. Paul Harding. Harding lost only six games a season ago and they return three all league honored players. Last year their season was ended by a shocking upset to Roosevelt, this year it would be a great story if they went to state for the first time in school history.

Two Rivers. A new coach, a new set of top players, and just a lot of new things going on. Michaels and Greer have a chance to be a great tandem.

Simley. The [program_tooltip program_id='2075852' first='Spartans' last=''] had a rough year but they were young and a lot of young players got experience. And now they have a good veteran coach in Will Braziel leading the way.

Minneapolis South. The Tigers lost eight of their top nine guys in the rotation to graduation so its tough to know what to expect from them.

St. Paul Como Park. They were a nine win team last year that lost their best two players so it's a lot to expect from them when it comes to taking a big jump.

St. Paul Highland Park. Highland Park is starting over with a new coach, some key players lost to graduation, and only winning seven games a season ago.
