Yared had a quiet first half, but came alive in the second to help Highland Park make things interesting down the stretch against Johnson. Yared excels in the mid-range, and is someone who seems to be automatic when he’s able to get to that elbow area and elevate for a jumper. Has such a smooth release that can connect from beyond the arc as well. Helped his team start to break the Johnson pressure more consistently in the second half, which helped them make the game competitive. Currently scoring 18.4 ppg as a senior.

Yared showcased a dangerous pull-up jumper on Saturday morning for Real Phenom. He has one of the best mid-range shots I’ve seen this spring, and found success getting to his spots from the wing. Good change of speed allowed him to freeze his defender and then push the ball into space, stopping and elevating for a 12 footer. Did a nice job of creating shots without having to over dribble. Should be one of the top players in the St. Paul City Conference this winter as a senior.
